as long as RJ keeps hitting his FTs he'll be fine, needs to be at least at 80%+

Coby is getting his first real chance at starting at point guard and running the offense. The good news is his scoring looks like it’s going to be really good. He has a nice 3 point shot and can finish in traffic in the lane.

The bad news is his short arms and loose dribble causes some really ugly turnovers, especially in traffic. And I’m not sure how you can improve on this.

We’ll see, but long term it may help him to have a good secondary ball handler at the wing spot.

because clogging up the lane in front of Zion is the last think u should be doing, he picked the 1 C in the entire league with 0 outside the paint game on either end of the floor

And then gave him a contract extension before he saw the fit.

If everyone was a theft, no one was a theft. I don't think the draft has been drastically different relative to expectations in year 1; it was low on stars and high on role players, and between that and the shortened season you could talk yourself into just about anyone in the top 5-10 in a redraft depending on your preferences. For all we know there are guys on the non-bubble teams who have improved similarly as much as Herro or Bazley since March.

Garland, Barrett, Reddish, and Hunter have all played well today. I think the hype got a little out of hand on the rookies who happened to be on teams good enough to make the bubble where nothung else was going on, we were just seeing them 6 months later than the others, and they had better teammates.

Bazley has been solid since the bubble.

As a Bulls fan, I enjoy watching Coby White. He does get hot and lights it up, and he has confidence shooting 3s from anywhere.
He may be best as a 6th man, and backup 2 and 1, to ignite the bench. I am not loving him as a starting pt. guard. I do see him winning future 6th man of the year awards.

If we're talking potential then I gotta agree. But I think he had productivity in mind.

Dort...another example of NBA GMs idiocy...how they let this dude go undrafted still boggles my mind

clyde21 wrote:biggest issues are decision making and efficiency. good news is that his TS% is up to 54% in conference which is good news, but turnovers are also up, which is still problematic.

like I said earlier...he's got a bit of Westbrook in him in that his body sometimes seems to move quicker than his brain because his so talented but the baseline talent on its own is definitely worthy of a lotto pick. It's the BBIQ and nuances of the game that are in question.

KD alone might have a better career than both combined (who knows) but Oden was looking very good after recovering from injury and then BOOM its all gone.

Like if Ja's injury from tonight turns out to be an achilles then what? We dont know how their careers will pan out.

It is shocking how often the second pick ends up being a stone cold bust though. This question intrigued me so I dug in a bit.

Options: Simmons/Ingram, Oden/Durant, Iverson/Camby, Duncan/Van Horn, Brand/Francis

Mourning/Shaq and Aquirer/Isiah are probably the two with certified HOF caliber studs at the top two.
