Cam without Zion and more space wasn't much better than he was with Zion in the lineup, he just became a volume scorer on middlin' efficiency.

I'm still wondering to this day what Cam showed people to warrant all these excuses?

Duke without Cam had limited spacing and couldn't guard anyone not to mention Cam was injured as well in the 1st UNC game with the groin injury that he recently had surgery for and was for 3 months.

Perspective is key. Duke was 1-1 without Cam and lost to an unranked team.

Its quite obvious if you watch the tape

It's quite obvious he doesn't have a motor.

It's also quite obvious that he doesn't make good decisions with the ball in his hands.

I watched nearly every Duke just waiting for him to put together a real solid stretch - I only grew more frustrated each passing game. By the end of the season I was literally praying that he would not be drafted by my favorite team.

His motor is fine.

His decision making clearly needs work as evidence of his slide in the draft.

You didn't hard enough but for how Washington plays, I agree. It wouldn't have been a good fit at all. What you would require just wouldn't fit. You guys would waste tf out of him. Rui was a smart move. One I like. Speaking of which, I thought you hated Rui and is a now a Grizzlies fan?

I didn't like the Rui pick but I don't hate him lol. And while I still begrudgingly root for the Wizards I have become a closet Grizz fan. I love their young nucleus!

I understand, i had him a different type of blend between Millsap and David West. Not a best of both worlds but he got shades of them. I missed on his Leonard shades which are the ones you want, not the one like, his passing vision is like Kawhi. He got explosiveness in space and great strength with driving and uses those hands to assist him. That's damn near impossible to guard. Part of the reason it's Leonard's goto.

I like Memphis core. It's still missing that one SG. If they land Anthony Edwards. It could be something magical in Memphis.

The only way a lottery pick after the top 5 is considered a steal is to outplay 4 of the top 5 picked players

Yeah maybe equal to the top 5 is enough but it is certainly something that stands true in most cases . I mean I am not calling Reddish or Culver a steal unless they have at minimum an equal level career to Zion,Ja,RJ and Hunter...and that's provided all 4 are high level nba players...if not than Reddish and Culver or anyone else taken 6-14 would have to outplay them to be a steal in the typical sense of the term.
Jokic was a steal
Giannis was a steal
Green was a steal
Butler was a steal
etc...

If you draft #7 and a superstar. You a steal.
#8
#9
#10
#11

Get the picture.

There is a great GRAND chance everyone before #7 is a superstar.
But the rare case like Steph Curry where guys like Griffin and Harden were legends, he is still a steal as he should have been #1.

^ I just don't agree with the logic. Unless as a lottery pick yourself you outperform or at minimum play at the same level as those taken ahead of you / then you cannot be considered a steal having been taken a little later. If you outperform those taken ahead of you by leaps and bounds (Curry) then yes you are a lottery steal .
If you outperform or play at the same level as top 5 players in the same draft and you were taken 17th ,30th or 45th than you are the epitome of what is considered a steal

he was slept on but for 2nd rounders like Gaf who has 1st round skill I put my $ on Jalen Nowell or Jordon Bone.
For pure value standpoint KPJ was the steal of the draft at 30 to CLE. Lottery level prospect with baggage

Yep, Reddish looked like a superstar with his 4 points on 1-7 shooting and 0-5 from 3 last night.

He played better overall v. Orlando than NO.

4 of the 5 threes was wide open which are shots you want all your players to take on our roster.

He played exceptional defense while v. NO, his defense was very shaky at best.

He moved extremely well off ball and played aggressively.

This is the prime example of stat watching and not knowing **** about the game of Basketball.

Cam is going to make a lot of wide open shots and like most players that's not a primed elite shooter, he will miss many as well.

On both drives, Cam drove to the basket strong especially compared to his weak drive v. New Orleans. He missed one due to control and he drew a foul.

I had a total of 9 bad marks on Cam that would come up on film session v. NO.

Just 3 v. Orlando and more positive marks as well. This is the prime example of stat watching and not game watching which is terrible and why some guys just can't be taken seriously on this website.

KPJ is a strong as hell choice for this long term falling to 30th.
There were a few others that fell way too far and will definitely outperform their draft spots
but Porter is a top 5 talent

we should start talking about NAW in this thread, man is this guy good...the improvement the last few months is incredible
