Anthony Edwards

Post#1 » by atlantabbq99 » Fri Nov 15, 2019 3:09 pm

So far he is living up to the hype. Anthony Edwards has looked great in the first few games. He has looked like a rich man's RJ Barrett or RJ Barrett with a jump shot.

Edwards already looks like he has an NBA player's body. He is not Vince but he does look like he has Kobe level athleticism and on top of that he has very good to elite PG skills for somebody who is 6'7. He is a lock to be a top 3 pick and could go #1. With the success of Luka, and his PG skills and perimeter play, Edwards could go #1.

6''5" and PG skills need work although he is a solid passer.

after what he did to Moses Moody's name, I got DJ K. Perk in a Verzuz battle against ANYBODY

Wheeler HAS to start for Georgia or you're not going to learn a darn thing about him in this season. Outside of players here and there, including him, it's not a very good team at all. Its even quite bad if Rayshaun Hammonds doesn't play to his ability.

This has been my first being able to watch because of how poor the team was last year, and hoo boy, going with no true PG to start made it as ugly as can be. There just wasn't anything there offensively or being run. With Wheeler in, it has been SEMI-competent for stretches but still quite outmatched.

I hate it for him, but an 18 year old kid might have made a big, big mistake like young kids can do. Crean looks like a very, VERY bad coach.

The one game I missed, it seems like he struggled. I will watch the Michigan State game

pretty brutal shooting numbers so far, 38% from the field, 29% from 3, 68% from the line, he's definitely better than this.

This is the best I’ve ever seen him play, but between yesterday and even the first half today, consistency of effort is going to be a major issue.

he was terrible in the first but went off in the second, it's happened a couple of times already this season, inconsistency is definitely an issue.

So easy for him to create separation . Thank god we don’t have to subject ourselves to hyping up guys like RJ Barrett as a #1 option

You would be a fool to pass on Edwards. He is Donovan Mitchell but 4-5 inches taller. I've seen Wiseman, Anthony, and Ball. This guy can turn around your franchise quick if you just put him in a role to be the #1 option and primary defender. He is special. Mitchell is special but his standing reach and height always bites him in the butt which it won't in regards to Edwards. Anyone passing on Edwards will suffer the same faith as if you passed on Zion.

he's an awesome scorer but doesn't have the defensive potential of Mitchell imo, not as good of a playmaker either

i think he's more CJ (a bigger one) than a Mitchell

He has too many drives into nowhere for an elite athlete. Reminds me of RJ's driving game.

They have him listed at 6-5 225 and barely 18. His shooting and ball handling at that age is very advanced. Gonna tear the combine a new one if he even attends.

I completely disagree 100% on the defensive potential part and it's not even close. The measurements along kill that talk. Now he is nowhere near as good a defender as Mitchell was as a Soph at LOU but he damn sure has more defensive potential. It's not even close. Playmaking will take some time, Edwards clearly has the vision, the rest will come with experience.

CJ is even more lethal than Mitchell if CJ had Edwards frame, height, athleticism, and strength at the same stage. That's a better player if he was built like Edwards.
