needs his own thread, possible 1st rounder IMO either this draft or next draft, this dude is really good, one of the more underrated guys in college. he's essentially carrying Baylor right now.

went and checked him off so you wouldn't be stranded on that island alone. Some translatable things, like the pace, solid handle, quick enough release on the jumper. Does he look like a kid that's coming out this year? I haven't seen him on too many Mock radars.

after what he did to Moses Moody's name, I got DJ K. Perk in a Verzuz battle against ANYBODY

probably won't declare given all the PGs in this class but outside of the usual suspects he's up there for me

92% from the line, 42% from 3 at 7 attempts per, decent handles/vision, can get his shot off in a lot of ways, solid build...he's advanced metrics are pretty ridiculous too, 24 PER, 60 TS%, 8.7 BPM, etc.

Jared Butler is really good. Surprised he's not getting more hype.
I was right about 3 point shooting. I expect to be right about Tacko Fall. Some coach will figure out how to use Tacko Fall. This movement towards undersized centers will sweep ng back. Back to the basket scorers will return to the NBA.

Nice success story. What do you think of his defense? He gets a lot of steals, but beyond that I don’t know much about his defense.

he's a + defender, strong at the pressure point and switchable to some 2s in help defense, 2.8 DBPM and a 91 defensive rating which are really good.

I still had him early 2nd in my first mock, but I'm definitely moving him up a lot. Love his skillset.

Finished strong. Ended up with a slightly higher PIPM than Kira, but it's trending down a little whereas Kira's is obviously trending up.

Size limitations hurts him here. He's much closer to 6'0 than 6'3. Had a pretty tough schedule, offensively speaking, w/ average opponent D ranking 11th per KenPom.

Overall, had the 132nd hardest NC schedule (not that hard). Kansas played the 10th hardest.

There are so many guards in this draft, that Butler probably slips to the 2nd round, but he's a potential starter, imo, if his measurables check out. Think George Hill.

yeah, I think a plus wingspan will be important for him

I like his fit next to Simmons on the Sixers

Don't think they will. Eye test tells me his wingspan is pretty short.

this is like caring about Tyler Herro's wingspan which was laughable last year

most useless convo circa 2019

Why measure players at all then?
