Never seen a worst player than Poku in the beginning of the season but damn he's playing very well right now and his ceiling is so high.

Still gonna be difficult for him to stay healthy but I definitely understand why Presti decided to gamble on him.

By statmuse check, he's youngest to have 7 3-pointers in a game. Was Lamelo at 19 and 190 days, he's slightly younger born 12/26/01.

So many GM’s are so scared to make the obvious picks.

His skillset and feel for the game at his size, damn.

Didn't expect him to be making these type of flashes so early on. OKC was the perfect situation for him.

Said it in the General Board thread, but his movement skills for his size are comparable to KD. Not the explosive / vertical athlete, but otherwise they are similar as hell. Again, this isnt comparing talent level or saying he will be (near) as good. But the body fluidity at 7 feet tall, only KD is a similar comparison.

He has everything needed to be really, really special. He was a clear cut top pick and once again, like Giannis, the GM's just cant see the forest for the trees.

On the one hand, that sounds crazy, on the other, you watch the way this guy handles the ball and how fluidly he can cross guys over at that size and you definitely get some Durant vibes.

I want to believe, but he’s still yet to have a single month where he shots over 38%, and he has one month of having more assists than turnovers.

He doesn’t need to be good right now and he isn’t. But damn is he toolsy and has legit feel for the game.

Yall have the perfect team for this kid, how many other teams would have let him step on the court this year AND play minutes with how bad he looked early on. Props!!!!

Late to the party.
I have to admit "it" moved a lil.

OKC has been a structural disaster for him but Poku has to go down as one of the most overrated prospects in yrs, he's even worse in his second season

he has talent, a couple of years in europe might do him some good, but he's been terrible so far. -6.3 BPM, 8 PER, 40 TS%...and i didn't think this was possible but he's actually getting to the line at an even lower rate than he did last year.

Yep, I can't disagree at this point. I can't really make excuses for him either. He's just been really bad. Taking the "L" on this one most likely.

didnt bring this up for anyone take the L, he's just an intriguing case to me, because he's so toolsy but missing all the connective tissue in between to actually put it all together on the court at a consistent level.

but yea, i'd like to see him europe for a couple of years and see what happens there after this season.

He's like an episode of Seinfeld. He does nothing, but he does it in a way that's entertaining

Unfortunately that works out much better as a sitcom than as an NBA player.

I honestly never really got it with him. Think sometimes we (I'm definitely guilty of this with other guys) all see "unique" and confuse that with "good"

This thread is epic and the reason why the Draft board is the best on this site. I often read all of these older prospect threads from start to finish.
