Thoughts on their freshman guards?

Missed the game today, but I've liked Keon Johnson (as a long-term project) whenever I've caught them...seems like he might have the raw tools & instincts to become a lead guard one day...though Springer's generally disappointed.

i like both, not sure if I love either yet, both are really toolsy but far away from being able to produce consistently, I have Springer in my top 16ish and Keon somewhere in the 17-25 range, but I think both have a lot room to move up just based on their base talent levels...just gotta be more consistent.

How was Springer's playmaking? I noticed he had a lot of assists, while in the games I've caught, his vision & passing were really underwhelming.

make quick reads today and was way more decisive than usual, quicker processing of info is gonna be key for him, the tools are are already there.

Hopefully he's starting to figure things out & won't need to think as much out there moving forward.

Good to see more of the freshman starting to settle in...Ziaire is looking really good again too.

Givony has:

1. Cade
2.Mobley
3.Green
4.Suggs
5.Kuminga

To the poster doubting Kumingas defense for whatever reason. He has Kuminga projected as a two-way Forward similar to everyone else. Also says "- Has excellent defensive potential when engaged. Strong enough to defend big men but has quick-enough feet to stay in front of guards." You might want to rethink your hot take on him.

Goodness, they have Kispert at 11 now. Was hoping he would be a definite fall back for the Grizzlies.

Terrence Shannon isn't super flashy and not a high volume scorer but he does a lot of things well that are gonna translate to the NBA, he'll be a rotation swing guy I think for sure at the next level

Bit of an understatement there

Only watched the first 8 or 9 minutes so didn't get a feel for his game, but god lord was the kid tiny.

I really like Ayayi...he’s not an explosive athlete but he is just a really good basketball player. Great rebounding guard, good size and just always seems to make the right basketball play.

He's been killing it lately, especially when Suggs was out

his FT% is down this year considerably for some reason but other than that he's a good prospect in his right, a combo guard that can run some offense for you, slash/cut off-ball as a 2 guard and grab boards like he can is gonna be valuable on draft night. his shooting if way too hot/cold tho.

I like Marcus Bagley's potential as a 3D wing. Good size and athleticism at 6'8" / 215 lbs. He has a number of good defensive plays in the film clip above. He can guard 3s and 4s, make switches and make plays off help defense. Good timing on boxouts and rebounds.

On offense, he moves really well and gets all over the floor. He has a decent handle and body control, and is able to make on-target passes off the dribble. Hitting 37.5% from 3PAs so far with many of his attempts coming from NBA range.

ASU's offense is a mess, with both their guards frequently making selfish plays, but Bagley looks like an NBA player to me. He's averaging 12/8 through his first 6 games as a freshman.

Probably not a 2021 prospect anymore but Tshiebwe‘s transferring to Kentucky.

I liked Cooper a lot from what I saw in high school, so I have to admit I am unreasonably high on him. We will see how big of an impediment the size is, but I think he can be a reasonably good nba player.

When news broke that he was leaving WVU one of my homeboys said to me "I bet you he'll be a Wildcat by next week. Watch."

And well. I guess he was right.

Judging from the last two drafts, he'll drop some due to his older age and Memphis will find a way to scoop him up.
