Ball is a horrible fit with RJ. Obviously he's ball dominant (or there's no point in him being on the floor) so it waste's RJ's ability as a secondary ball handler. Plus neither can space the floor (at least not short term). That's ugly.
Edwards isn't a much better fit, but at least he'd allow RJ to be used to his potential.

Neither player fits next to RJ but based on Ball’s passing ability I think they could figure it out

I think Ball is the better fit between the two if I had to choose. I wouldn't want Barrett handling ball-handling duties full-time so Ball is the easy choice here.
