I've seen plenty of guys here worship their own cute hipster pet prospects.

There is a difference between hyping up a prospect because you think they should get more attention and raving about a prospect that everyone already knows about who also happens to be the almost universal #1 prospect of the draft.

And if you feel like raving about Wembanyama then by all means, go ahead and do it. It's just weird that your main contribution in this thread is to complain about others who do not ‘worship’ him enough in your eyes. What's the point?

what makes the complaining all the more hilarious was he's literally in this thread a few pages back talking about how he'd never draft Wemby.

not sure if he's just trying to overcompensate now b/c of it but it really is hilarious.

Who cares man, that's old news now. We're miles past that now. How many times do I have to explain this to you?

it's just a very odd 180, you go from not wanting to draft him to bitching about how we're not talking enough about him.

The point is that people think he's just a good #1 pick and have already moved on. The problem with that thinking is that it still undersells him. This is a guy who is going to change the entire landscape of the league within 2 years. Think about this like it is the 1992 draft. Why waste time discussing a guy like Clarence Weatherspoon who will become irrelevant the second he's out of the league when you could be discussing Shaq, who is a legend.

Most people understand that he is a generational prospect. If people thought he was ‘just a good #1 pick’, there'd be a lot more discussion about who should go #1 as is the case in most years. As was the case with him before the breakout season.

Also, you still don't understand it. What is there to discuss about Wembanyama? How awesome he is? That is not a discussion. That is something almost everyone knows and believes. Discussions emerge when there are different opinions on prospects. If most people have a similar opinion, there won't be much discussion. That's what's happening here. You want to discuss about him? Then go start a discussion that people are interested in – but you don't, probably because you yourself don't know what to discuss.

And why wasting time discussing inferior prospects? Because that is what people care about in this board. People care about fringe prospects, late 1st rounder, the lottery talents. This board is for draft nerds. If you only want to talk about the most hyped players, there are lots of other places all over the internet where this is done. It's not your place to tell others what they should be interested in.

Victor shoots too many jumpers.

There, go off.
