Top 50 Averaged Out Rankings (Givony, Vecenie, CBS Sports, SI.com and NBADraft.net)

For what it's worth, I took the rankings of the sites more based off of what they're hearing than scouting themselves (so Givony, Vecenie, CBS Sports, SI.com and NBADraft.net) and averaged out their rankings. These sites typically rank off what the draft order will look like more so than being scouts that project what the NBA careers that follow will look like.

I’ve never felt such a big disconnect between my opinion on a perceived #1 talent and the popular opinion (speaking of Lamelo). I honestly feel like I have to be missing something, and need to go watch more film.

Based on that,

Jaden McDaniels, Daniel Oturu, Josh Green, Cassius Stanley, Jordan Nwora and Udoka Azuibuke seem like great values.

Nwora at 45? uh, yeah. great shooter with good size and athleticism who produced big time and no egregious weaknesses. it's as if everybody is forgetting about him because the college season was so long ago. getting the malcom brogdon treatment because he's an upperclassman. dumb.

I think the draft gets pretty lateral at 29 on down. I feel like if someone took a few of the guys in the 40's at 29 it wouldn't be a bad pick. This draft is crazy deep albeit not at all top heavy (to be fair the lack of a season, tourney and a lot of prospects like Wiseman and Ball not really being seen as it was has a lot to do with the perception of that).

I am right there with you. I think it would require a lobotomy to see LaMelo in the same light as some of these pundits. I dont even see a top-30 talent.

Oturu is a top 15 prospect in this draft the fact they have him collectively at 36 is disrespectful.

Its telling how split everyone is on all the prospects. I don't think Ball is polarizing, people are just really split on him, just like how everyone is split on everyone else in this draft. Thats why I think this draft isnt as bad as everyone is making it seem. Half of the people think one half of this draft is bad while the other thinks the other half is bad. I see a lot of projectable skills and body types overall. Also a lot of guys that want to be good. As someone who watches all the interviews every year, I really think this year has some really confident, hard-working players.

I don’t feel it’s a bad draft, except at the top. I like the probably options that will be there for the Pels for instance.

*6-8 PG with long arms
*High skill level, excellent passing skills
*Can get in the lane at will against grown men

Its not shocking that some scouts can overlook the last name and some the flaws and see very good prospect.

Ball is intriguing because he does have a elite skill to build with in his passing at 6'8. Not sure anyone else at the top does one thing on a elite level like that.

He’s a good passer. The 6’8 and the long arms is dubious. He’s definitely big enough to be a strong defender foe a guard, but it hasn’t manifested like it did early for Lonzo. They basically share the same dimensions, and Lonzo isn’t super long for his height, it just appears like that them because they are skinny.

He definitely doesn’t get into the lane at will, or do anything of note there

dude is 6-6, tops, he's like the same exact height as Lonzo.

I don't understand why these tops are trying to figure out the order of the draft rather than telling us their own ranking of the best players. Are people really more interested in a guessing game than an analyst's thoughts about what the order should be?

Oh, he’s definitely gonna grow 2-3 inches and gain 20 pounds of pure muscle right after the draft, like every prospect. He’ll be 7’0 and 240 before you know it.

True, but it seems like most rankings you see are about guessing who the teams are going to be pick rather than the opinion of the expert. The Ringer is doing it nicely.
