and you decided to show up here with your 'he's overrated' gem without actually explaining why you think he is, great timing on that one huh?

go ahead and explain.

something a little less laughable than Fisch's 'he's not a volume scorer' please.

Lol why do you always get butthurt when someone disagrees with you?

because people here actually enjoy discussing propects, positives and negatives, and BS one liners like 'he's overrated' randomly after a bad game when you've never actually participated in the thread is whack af.

leave that crap to the GB.

Cool beans. I don’t care. I’ve talked about his positives and negatives on the Knicks board plenty of times, which you had no clue about. You should stay quiet before assuming you know it all. Enjoy your day.

Please elaborate on your why's for the people sir.

Can’t create on his own, not assertive enough on offense, extremely weak and struggles against physical bigs. I’m not feeling him.

Strength I'll give you and that's something that will be a game changer for him if he can add some. I can't co-sign the create for self take, seen too much of him putting the ball on the floor, iso faceup, and in the post. The assertive take is valid, he does a lot within the flow of the game and I have faith in him stepping that part of his game up if he's fed the rock especially with his passing being so high level.

I mean the only thing he can really create on his own is just post hooks and awkward floaters. Meh. I don’t even see that translating to the league right away cause he’s going to have trouble posting up against bigger players cause he’s so weak. One thing I’ll give him is that he’s a good passer. I personally get high end role player vibes from him. I don’t see star potential in him. I don’t want my Knicks to get him. Don’t see him as a major upgrade over Mitchel Robinson.

I know you guys talk draft every year on the Knicks board I've swung by there a few years myself. Swing through here every once in a while to talk shop so the takes don't look so out of the blue.

I remember not too long ago me and you had a convo about Mobley vs Wiseman in high school. It was somewhere on the draft board. I was telling you I thought Mobley isn’t that impressive in my eyes. I forgot which thread that was though.

Not a ton of huge bigs in the league to begin with and not many operate from the post so I'm not sure how concerning that actually is. The mid range game is promising, the footwork and counters off the faceup are good, his roll timing, vertical spacing all work. I'd give Robinson better defensive range but that's about it. In all honesty though given the makeup of your team I can understand that being a pass if they are going to be used the same way.

I remember that. Might have been the future class thread or one of those. I posted the matchup video from HS.

I personally like old school type big men like Ayton who can post up and and shoot that mid range. So I guess I am biased. One thing that Mobley would help us with is stretching the floor, which Mitchell Robinson can’t do. But besides that, Mitch seems to be fine for us.

Knicks really need a guard who can create/shoot. I’m hoping we land one of Cade/Green/Suggs. I think we’re ok with big men for now.

Think out of the 3 Suggs makes the most sense. His on off ball ability allows the rest of the youngins to eat whilst still being able to get his off of their plates as well.

But yeah Mobley isn't traditional and there aren't gonna be a lot of those coming in going forward. But we'll see how he pans out next level.

where? i don't see you in this thread until now. were you just thinking it and decided to flex nuts now after a bad game?

Nah, melo's been pretty vocal about not being high on Mobley's ability to create for himself on the Knicks board for a while.

Literally the only thing keeping me from having him as the easy #1 pick is Cade's archetype.

I guess I just like a prospect that can either be the offensive engine or the defensive foundation. He is going to anchor some damn good defenses with a halfway competent team builder.

Also, I think his shot creation is being downplayed. The flashes are there and college hoops is a mess for bigs. He has already shown some ability to initiate with the ball. He is a very good passer. Plus his free throw rate is great.

he is closer to a traditional big which disqualifies him from number 1. I wouldnt touch him bc im not willing to risk busting.
Just look at Ayton better version and this guys a bust compared to Luka. also, if your a gm, you will not lose your job if you pick suggs/cade regardless of outcome.

Kids a monster. Do we have a comp for him yet? I've seen Bosh float around, not quite sure i'm on board with it though. I think Mobley's defensive ceiling is much higher.

If his ceiling truly is TD, he should go #1. I have him #2 ahead of Snuggs, but behind Cade. While I don't have Green or Kuminga rated yet due to not seeing them this year yet.
