Cooper has looked great though and absolutely changes the game for his team when he is in. This is why his stock shot up, despite the persistent size concerns. Nix is a backup on a G League team - his role is hardly glamorous, though he is very talented.

I would prefer if they did it exactly like the NCAA instead of rewarding 2 points for 1 free throw.

i like the 1 FT rule and would love to see it moved to the NBA, that'll stop a lot of the BS players do today when they'd rather bait contact than legitimately attempt the shot (cough Trae Young cough)

Always been a fan of the 1 and 1. Especially at this level. Would like the league to adopt it.

Do you see Coop as more can't miss or boom or bust?

I haven't scouted him or really any of the SEC guys in super detail this year so I haven't looked at any of the nuances. I saw Auburn before and after Cooper and the team was night and day (and he was taking over the game throughout). My initial thought is he isn't can't miss, but has the upside to be a starter. He isn't the type of player that screams bust because his vision, handle, and offensive tools are more developed than others'. But, I have to cue in on him more on the defensive end before I develop more of a firm opinion.

Fwiw, I have been ocd watching Big Ten, Big East, Big 12, and Mountain West so I am more up to speed on prospects in these conferences.

Why would it change that?

Am I missing something? Not sure how that would change in the NBA. If anything, it would make players more incline to bait no? All you have to do is make 1 FT and you get all the points.

i am talking about only being allowed to take 1 FT for a shooting foul, my bad for being unclear.

look at this perimeter block and then pass...just stupid...if he can do this stuff consistently to go along with his scoring arsenal it's a done deal.

We've known this for 3-4 years now. He's yet to show the ability to do it consistently, hence why he's more likely a pick 3-4 than pick 1 at the moment. This isn't groundbreaking stuff.

It's actually all over the place, he has great tools and athleticism but he is out of control often, could def use refinement and cut out unecessary wasted motions

So when the space created from that crossover in the first clip turns into a sidestep jumper there won't be much you can do with this young man.
