Apparently Beauchamp is reconsidering college options.
MarJon Beauchamp, the former No. 55 overall prospect in the 2020 Top150, is reconsidering college opportunities after opting to take this season to train for the NBA Draft, he tells 247Sports.
"Just like the covid reasons," Beauchamp told 247Sports of the reason behind his shift. "I talked to some scouts and they said they needed some film so I thought about going back to school and playing."
"The original plan was to be ready," his father added. "To be practiced and seasoned to go into a combine situation and perform as anyone that played but with covid and the restrictions and trying to get that training, the gyms were all closed down and most of the trainers and stuff weren't available up to this point. It made us revamp our thinking. If he does go to the NBA, we want to make sure he does go running full speed."

This dude's background and wiki pages gives a really bad vibes in terms of manufactured image and bad judgement.

Honestly, it sounded like a bunch of excuses to me. Yes, everyone was equally impacted by the pandemic. There are teams that would take you late after the extent of the pandemic was realized. It is a lost year for him. He can't afford that if he hopes to become a pro.

You are exaggerating.
He can either play in college or turn pro.
Don't be so melodramatic.

Do you have something more recent?
https://247sports.com/Article/Marcus-Carr-plans-to-enter-2021-NBA-Draft-college-options-162672429/My understanding is that the NBA is the top priority and transferring is a backup plan.

yea that's the new report, was coming to change it, initially he was transferring but I think new report said first priority was the draft process and then transfer if that doesn't work out. i'll move him to declared list for now.

I don't see why he wouldn't stay in given the level of scorer he was this past season. Sure, he could work on some things, but probably is better served playing in the G League.
