Unusually Low Standing Reach Measurements

Post#1 » by BK_2020 » Tue Mar 16, 2021 1:51 pm

Harrison Barnes was measured at 8'6 standing reach despite being 6'6 with 6'11 wingspan.
Dorian Finney-Smith was 8'3.5 at 6'6.5 height and 6'11.75 wingspan.
Do these players just have super long necks or what?

Wide shoulders and frame. Wingspan is big because of wide shoulders but the arms aren't particularly long.
And yeah, long necks

They tanked the standing reach to make their vert look more impressive. One of my biggest annoyances.

it's the long neck more than anything, we'll see it most likely with guys like TJD and Alperen when they get measured this year.

Yup, I think that's exactly what happened.
