8 votes and only one player with two. Talk about no consensus.

Probably Barnes, but I'm starting to get curious about Sengun.

My question with Barnes is do you have to design your team around him because of his shooting deficiencies? And do you want to be designing your team around that type of defensive, ball handling, non-shooting player?
I could be wrong here, I'm not a Scottie Barnes expert. But for example, my team the Kings...we suck on defense (like worst ever). And he would seem like the perfect fit. But can you roll him out there with Holmes and Fox?

Barnes is arguably the most complete 2 way package forward in the draft except for his outside shot...adds that and he easily overtakes anyone in this class but as is remains in the 5 to 6 range. Imo he could easily be so much more in the NBA than he showed in college just based on earlier tape.

But can he shoot from deep? Modern day NBA allows for one player that’s a total non threat from range. 1.5 at max, so basically he has to hit 33’ish percent to not be the one non shooter. For the Kings that player is Holmes, we can’t run out there two total non shooters with Fox. It just won’t work. So if we take Barnes and assume he is a long term foundational piece we have to adjust the rest of the lineup around him as long as he and Fox are on the team. And as we all know, getting defensive centers that can shoot isn’t easy.

I think having one non-shooter on the floor is acceptable. I think Barnes can fit with Fox just fine.
Barnes and Holmes might not fit well together, but then not drafting Barnes is basically building around Holmes. I also think eventually Barnes will be an acceptable shooter. If you look at his FT numbers and subtract the first 10 games he was basically a 75% shooter. The guy works hard and is known for that. So i think eventually he'll get up to Marcus Smart type shooting level. I also assume by the time his roomie contract is up probably close to 50% of starting centers will space out to 3 to some degrees or another.

When thats the only hole in a forwards game esp one as gifted of a playmaker and passer I am not sure I would be too worried because it's just another thing to add to his arsenal. If you are asking if his shot is broken I say not even close and all he has to do is work on his range a little for the rare instance he isnt dominating closer to the basket he does not need to be some 40% wing

I like Barnes as much as anyone else but you can't take a guy this high with no positive shooting indicators.

I counted 3 in the 10 minute video and one was a desperation heave. I don't know how he scores in a half court set. He has no post moves. No mid-range, no advanced moves to get to the rim. I'm not drafting him in the first half of the first round.

Fair enough we will see where he goes and how he fairs. I think he is an elite small ball 4 or 5 at the next level that defend very well no matter what comes at him. Is he a shooter no, can he shoot it so it's not a liability yes. Thats one video but feel free to count the entire season if you like his % were not great. The point is he does not need to be that guy to be worth a high lottery pick imo

Nope nor do I want to take the ball out of Hali’s hands.

He is off the charts good in other areas, but his scoring instinct and ability is indeed near 0.

I think Barnes could be the most polarizing prospect in the draft.

I like many options in the poll, but I voted for "other" = Jalen Johnson.
