Yup. Dont have a season kick off event like the Championship Classic, which in my opinion was a great idea. But dont have that kick off event where people get pumped to watch good college basketball teams go against each other. Then basically for the next month you go right back to preseason level games and casual fans completely tune out.

Its like they're purposely going out of the way not to gain new fans and push away the few amount of fans they have left. Once the season kicks off, it should be legit games from there on out.

Keegan Murray is having a pretty ridiculous start to his season

Yeah don’t know if he’ll be in that 30 - 40 range anymore.

19 year old 6'7 PG Lovro Gnjidić who is like athletic version of Zoran Planinić is making a name for himself this season. Typical late bloomer who is just realising how good he could become. He has good court vision and natural PG instincts. Controls the tempo of game with ease. Still has ways to go, but talent is there. I believe ha has lot more to offer on pro level than his teammate Roko Prkačin who is good, but rather limited potential...He could turn out as great draft and stash player.

Sucks there aren't any more of McAffery's children to keep Keegan Harris on the bench.

I do wonder if Nikola, Roko and Lovro would get time in Euroleague play. The winners of the young prospect awards have been half and half.

In saying that though College now it’s still basically exhibition stuff not many real games happening atm (even still College isn’t the easiest gauge either).

I do wish their was a legit league just under NBA or the AAA if you will. Makes scouting so much easier for us hobbyists and for scouts in general lol.

Anyway Brown is rising I like him a lot.

They all play in league where Jokić, Bogdanović *2, Nurkić, Šarić, Zubac, Bjelica, Dragić etc. were playing. And who follows young prospects it's good league to follow as every year few players get drafted. This year lots of 1999.-2003. are getting minutes. Manny of them will end up in NBA or Eurolegue one day

I have started watching college games this year with essentially no knowledge of the prospects, so it's been fun getting a first real impression from their first college games this time around. I'll write a bit more about my first impressions but first I want to focus on one older guy: Keon Ellis.

Keon Ellis is quickly becoming my Mikal Bridges in this draft, in that I see traits in him that I think could make him a great role player in the NBA. Not the same level of prospect but I love what he brings to the table – in theory. Great energy on defense with quick hands and rebounding ability, and the length and quickness that could allow him to defend two or even up to three positions effectively. On offense, he has shown an ability to hit 3s at a good rate and efficiency and he moves well off the ball, which should allow him to fit seamlessly in most NBA offenses. He is also very composed which helps him draw fouls and be efficient on his 2s. I'll wait and see how sustainable his current play is considering that his role has drastically increased, but I really like him. He's obviously quite old by the time of the draft but that doesn't matter that much for projected role players, in my view.

edit: I should also add that I have no idea where he's ranked by draft guys and if he's talked about already, so maybe there's already an existing train to jump on.

Tankathon is a good website to keep track of everyone for prospects. Not sure if you are familiar with it if you're just getting into scouting.

Really curious how Baldwin plays tonight against Florida. He’s played two bad teams so far and hasn’t really looked like anything amazing in either, including a loss to Eastern Kentucky where he shot 7/20.

Yeah looks like it. I think he’s shown the most pick 1 best player in the draft type outlook from the eye.

In saying that Chet needs to put on 20 pounds quicksmart. This isn’t Mobley range either dude needs to sign up to a boxing & swimming elite program asap. Charge on 2 extra natural meals a day. Because he has the skill imo

Happens every year almost where somebody here calls the top pick before mainstream media gets wind of how obvious it is. So im tuned in to see how this plays out this time.

Yeah it was Mobley last year even though he was top 3 and Shai a couple of drafts ago, boy did this board have Shai frenzy like weeks before the media got a hold of it. Also Giddey who went top ten peeps here knew what was up beforehand. Smart cookies

Both Chet/Banch aren’t perfect whereas with Smith Jr you can definitely see the perfect type of player in the NBA today and it just happens he’s basically the most valuable archetype. SF/PF can switch inside/out possibly even play small ball C, handle the rock, shoot, defend, great size for a wing it’s all there.

Loved Banchero before the draft but his archetype isn’t as highly as valuable (leaky defensive PF volume scorer, shorter arms, no signs of facilitating so far, most likely positionally locked?) and it’s less than Chet’s obviously.

Milwaukee lost to Florida by 35. Didn’t see the game but apparently Baldwin looked really bad. I’m thinking going to Milwaukee is gonna end up costing him a lot of money early on.

Choosing to play for his dad was an unbelievably stupid decision for Baldwin. There really was no positives about the decision.

1. No one is going to watch Milwaukee games. So he will get no exposure and wont gain any kind of name recognition
2. He will put up plenty of stats, but no one will care because his usage is going to be high and he will be going against horrible competition
3. When they do play a game against legit competition, the opposing team can just load up against him and he is going to struggle.
4. This is a new one for this year. But financially speaking, he could make a ton more money going to a blue blood school and cashing in on his name recognition and signing some good endorsements.

Just a complete waste of a year. I get that his dad most likely would've been fired if Baldwin didnt sign. But just a waste of a year for him.

don't think it's gonna affect PB&J too much, don't see him dropping out the top10 and that was always his range anyway, from 4-10. you can see the ancillary skills at his size regardless of who he's playing against.

I haven't been able to catch a full Baylor game yet but I've been keeping up with Kendall's tape. Is he for real 6'8"? What are his weaknesses that I have to see games to notice? Really like what I can see in his highlights.
