Moody my BPA here but went with Bouk for Orlando since they already took Kuminga and have Okeke, a bucket getter at the 2 hole to put next to RJ/Cole moving seems like a good move for them, maybe they go best big (Alperen) here instead if they are not comfortable with Isaac/Bamba moving forward.

Id probably go Keon. Im not the bigget fan of Keon because of those really poor shooting numbers. But good size at the 2 and good athleticism. I also wont be shocked to see Davion Mitchell going here though. I wouldnt take him this high, just feel like this is the kind of pick I can see him going at though.

They already have Isaac, Cole, RJ, Okeke, Bamba, Kuminga (going by this draft). They kind of have a young guy at each position it seems like, so really it seems like they could go any route. So I can see them going with the raw super explosive athlete at this pick.

I get the Bouk pick as well. Bouk is the better bucket getter, but I can see Orlando taking the risk on the younger and rawer athlete, especially since this is their 2nd pick. If Bouk was a better shooter I would take Bouk. But I think with his shooting numbers, I can see ORL taking Keon.

After Kuminga I'd go with the guy who spaces the floor the best, and that's Moody. I think he's going to be a really nice 3+D player, and Orlando is going to need some spacing and a good perimeter defender. Moody is also going to be able to shift between the 2 and 3, which adds some lineup versatility you won't get with Bouknight. I could see Keon, I actually think he has the highest upside on the board along with Jalen Johnson, but I'm not sure Moody/Sengun/Bouknight are far off.

For me I don’t see much difference between Wagner, Barnes and Garuba so I’ll go him. I can easily see him being a double double threat and he can legit guard 1-5 somehow.

Offense is raw but if it hits (I mean Barnes is raw and Wagner is a jack of all trades) on one thing then he’ll be a very good player.

It’s him or Sengun and Sengun looks great atm.

Bouknight.

Selecting a big in the lottery is just a waste of a lottery pick. If you want a big, sign Andre Drummond for 2 boxes of chocolates.

I actually have Tre Mann at this spot. But next on the list are Bouknight and Cameron Thomas.

Kuminga for undetermined ceiling in the clouds…Bouk for buckets

Tre Mann might surprise a few come draft night.
In terms of polish he is one of the best in the whole class.

I'm between Tre Mann and Giddey. Bones also a consideration for me.

Sengun for specifically Orlando. They already have the 5th pick, with the 8th pick they can take a little risk.

Bouknight. Orlando needs someone who can get buckets.

Bouknight and Kuminga could be a really nice combo. They'll be set at the 2 and the 3 for awhile which is perfect since those are their weakest positions right now. Well, they're also. weak at center so I suppose they could go Sengun here..

In this scenario we're assuming they pick Kuminga 5th. That is kind if a risky pick..

why? isn't this draft considered a 5 man draft and kuminga is one of them?

He's considered a top 5 pick but most consider him to be clearly behind the 4 in front of him - and some are saying they would take Barnes over him. Kuminga is considered top 5 based on his potential, his athleticism, physical tools, upside. He is kind of a risky pick with high reward, from my understanding.

Also, while some people. see this as a 5 player draft, I'm not one of those people. This is a very deep draft IMO, with well over 30 players who could possibly turn into starters at the next level or at least very solid role players..

Moody and it shouldn't be a question IMO. He gives you just about everything Bouk does in shooting but has the versatility to defend 1-3 something that Bouk likely can't do.

I don't quite get the Bouknight love for Orlando outside of his scoring ability. He's an older sophomore who should be further along in his development when comparing other guys. He isn't a good passer, defensively is somewhat meh as well. Yes he can improve for sure but if you compare his 2 years he didn't really improve much he just got benefit of more usage.

21.6%: His FG% on shots off the catch last season (per Synergy). 75% of his attempts were listed as “guarded,” but his “unguarded” FG% wasn’t much better (22.2%) :-? :-?

"his effort and energy will determine just how elite he becomes" That shouldn't be the MAIN Weakness for a guy you take in the top 5. Kuminga absolutely scares the crap out of me as an Orlando fan

when people say it's a 5 player draft they don't necessarily mean everyone else sucks other than the 5, they mean that those 5 are in a tier of their own above everyone else and the rest of the group is in the lower tiers, kinda like saying the draft starts at 6 because we know exactly who will go top 5. like how people were saying last year was a 3 player draft (Antman/WIseman/Lamelo) and the draft started at 4 etc...which I disagreed with but that's the logic.

Thanks for the great explanation my man;)

Yeah the draft really starts at 6# you can throw half a dozen names out there for that pick and onwards in the draft it’s very fluid to me. A lot of prospects but it doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll be good.

Presti loves to shake it up. Watch him draft someone like Mann at 6#.
