unfortunately in this scenario Myers is taking either Davion or Kispert most likely.

for me Springer here would clearly be the choice, i'd entertain a trade down too (for maybe something like NYK's #21 and #32 if it was offered)

What's wrong with Davion? He could easily be a mini Marcus Smart. Kispert is awful though. I wouldn't touch him.

Personally I'd try to trade out or trade down at this point.

At 14 I'd pick Josh Christopher if it's about trying to add long-term talent to the roster. More difficult when the goal is to take the best win-now player. Besides Mitchell and Kispert that are already on the list, I'd think the Warriors would be looking at Murphy and Duarte – and I would also look at Wieskamp if I could trade down. All of them feel a bit over-picked, though, so you'd hope to get some value for trading down.

Really not sure who to pick from this list. I'm open to different arguments.

yea, all those guys are fine but I feel like the aim should be higher at 14 than any of those guys that project to be more role guys than anything else at this point, which is fine on the surface when u are trying to win immediately, but I think we can do that and aim higher (Springer).

trading down would be best tho, i.e. with New York (21 and 32).

other than that, i think Myers goes Davion or Kispert here, maybe Duarte or Murphy like you mentioned.

He’s going to be an absolute beast on D. Pat Bev is more of an agitator, Davion’s way thicker and a better athlete.

Golden State goes Davion here and doesn't think twice. He's a better shot-maker than Beverley, and a bit more physically gifted. I don't know if that will translate to him being a better defender, but I can see him being a similar caliber defender, and on offense he has the potential to make a much larger impact. I think he'd make a great backup to Curry, and when Steph retires, would step in and be a good long-term starter.

Davion Mitchell should be like a Terry Rozier with better shooting.

If I'm Golden State, I might look at Kai Jones here. I think he's what people were hoping Marquese Chriss would be.

Most of the players to whom Mitchell is compared are considerably longer and better FT shooters. Just saying.

I don't see any reason at all for GSW to take another project-big at 14. Also, Chriss has been pretty solid for the Warriors and many of us hope that he'll be back next season.

I don’t know if GSW will want to completely load up on young role players to help their championship run, but if they do Davion is an obvious pick.

I could see them reaching on Tre Mann and grooming him to be the 2nd coming of Steph.

With Wagner at 7 I have them going Mitchell if he falls but I doubt he lasts this long.
So I voted other and think McBride is a possibility here too

If Garuba falls to 14, i dont know how W's dont draft him. Opens up a Wiseman trade for a win now piece (which they should do) as Garuba will step in and be better than him on day 1

No one is becoming the 2nd coming of Steph. They already have a homeless man's version of him in Poole, so they don't need another.

Seems like a good pick for the Warriors to draft Curry's heir apparent at PG. Hearing lots of buzz that they might go with Davion, but IMO Springer, McBride and Butler are all slightly better prospects than Mitchell.

Butler's health is still up in the air. Springer vs McBride is debatable - I really like both of them but give a tiny edge to Springer being taller and younger.

I could see Springer contributing right away off the bench, backing up Steph but also they could play the 2 of them together at times. Then once Curry is gone, he hands over the keys to Springer.

there is no 'second coming from Steph'...especially not a guy who can't even shoot FTs at a 70% clip

anyways, do u yall wanna keep this going or just the lotto?

Keep it going, this is fun.

I voted for Mitchell because I think the Dubbs should prioritize the next few seasons, but if it was up to me I'd take Springer here. He has so much in common with Curry, he'd be an incredible mentor for him. Both of them are from Charlotte, both of them have fathers that played professionally, and both of them are bigger guards that excel with skill rather than athleticism. I highly, highly doubt Springer ever becomes anywhere near as good as Curry, but nonetheless their similarities are striking.

From both fit and BPA standpoint, i take Garuba here. Could see him starting by the end of the year
