went Springer here, just clear BPA by a strong margin, even tho they have SGA and clearly like Theo, and could probably use another big.

Spinger is the guy.
Barnes, Kai and Springer would be a A+ draft for OKC. Now get Vrenz and Queta in R2 for that A+++++

I guess too many good guards is not a problem springer is the bpa here probably but I got them taking a rising stock prospect who dominated the combine

Re: RealGM Consensus Mock - #18 Oklahoma City
I'm just not sure about Springer's fit with SGA. I'm thinking a wing here - one who can really shoot it, since they already picked a wing who can pass really well but can't shoot (Barnes).
I'm thinking Duarte/Murphy/Wieskamp. Or they go with Ziaire because Ziare has much higher ceiling than those other guys and although he shot poorly from 3 last year that was a small sample size, he had some external/off the court stuff that may have contributed to the low 3 point shooting %, his great shooting form and high FT% suggest he can develop into a really good outside shooter.
I voted Ziaire.
Imagine a starting 5 of SGA, Barnes, Ziaire, Poku, Kai? Dort off the bench. The length, the skill, the athleticism, some really strong defenders too.

I personally would have Christopher or Prkacin for them if they decide to go for upside and OKC is probably the one team picking in that area (if they don't use the pick to trade up) that will go for upside. Just not sure that NBA GMs would agree with my view on who are the best prospects left on this board.

i'm with you here. OKC has more than enough room to take a big swing for the fences here and gamble a bit, especially in a draft with this much talent. Don't think it hurts to take a chance here and i like both the players you mentioned quite a bit.

I went Williams again. He's long, he can shoot, he has some outlier potential if things come together. I think some physical development is really going to help him, and teams might already see that in workouts. Completely understand Springer here, and I wonder if Isaiah Todd cancelling workouts means OKC gave him a promise with this pick.

I agree with others, take a swing here. Zaire, Prkacin, Christopher... might even go Cooper here with the thought that if his shot gets fixed, he has a chance to be special. One of the best playmakers ive seen as a prospect in a while

I went with Isaiah Jackson, though it's a lazy pick. He's a Nerlens Noel type, but he'd give him a young big at the 5 to develop with the rest of their young team.

Springer. But I don’t really care as long as it’s not Vrenz.

there's a lot of prospects i like and root for but if duarte is available here, i think there's a lot of value for a guy who i think will finish t15 amongst rookies by the end of the first year.
sure he's not a great defender but he brings a lot to the table
on the surface some might view him as a limited asset and as just a shooter. but he's selfless, a great floor spacer, and he raises the floor for his teammates. PER over 26, both box plus minus and offensive box plus minutes in the top 10 ncaa. his value offensively makes up for his deficiencies.

Duarte seems like the antithesis of what OKC goes after. Why would they get an old win now player when they love raw young lengthy guys with potential like Kuminga and Zaire. Their timeline is 5 years away from being 5 years away.

because he spreads the floor and makes his teammates better by giving them better opportunities.
okc already has a lot of youth. they need those players to mature into their full potential.

I took Zaire. That jumper is too smooth for me to pass up.
