Ismael Kamagate

Paris basketball moves up to the A division. Kamagate just had 18 points, 5 rebs and 9 blocks in a game:

He really seems to move well for a big man, very quick/light on his feet, agile, coordinated. Also seems to have pretty good strength/power so a nice combination of size + quickness + strength/power + skill +coordination.

Can't shoot but his FTs look decent. Shows some flashes of putting the ball on the floor and attacking the rim, and some flashes of good short roll passing.

6'11", 220 lbs and a 7'3" wingspan.

I'm not seeing him in any of the early mock drafts being posted - most underrated prospect in 2022 draft class?
1/11/24 The birth of a new Hal. From now on being less combative, avoiding confrontation - like Switzerland :)

He is been selected to play with the French national team this week. His progression is impressive and steady over the last 3 years. His shotblocking is elite, and his athleticism too. He has a good IQ and his passing is accurate. He's able to shoot outside the paint. In addition he's able to play a lot with energy without being in foul trouble, which is very precious given his his impact in the paint. He's still a bit soft at defensive rebounding and in the low post game. he could be a stretch five in the future, but will always be an elite rim runner / lob target. He's averaging 11pt 5.4rb 1.8blk in 26 minutes French Elite (15pt 6rb in the last 4 games).
