Is he a better prospect than his dad was?

Wow - that's saying something! And thanks, I didn't know he went by DJ!

Proud of his dad who got dealt an unfortunate illness which ruined a potentially exciting career.

Read on Twitter

it's so funny watching the media still pretend that Bronny is an actual NBA prospect at this point.

Both him and his dad can score.. like Cam Thomas can score.. but neither seemed to be high on overall skill

dajuan was a more dominant hs player, but dj is probably a better prospect simply because we've seen what became of dajuan in college and the nba. iow, if he doesn't eventually have more success than his dad, his career will have been a disappointment. I expect him to at least be more efficient than his dad at the d1 level.

The guy had severe colitis and lost upwards of 30lbs. To say he was a disappointment is simply unfair. You can't play basketball at the NBA level with medical problems of this nature.

Yeah, he and Respert can't really be evaluated as picks. They might both have had solid Lou Williams style careers for all we know.

regardless of the reason one would expect dj to have a better career than his dad.

Congrats to UK for finally getting a top tier recruit again, its been about half a decade since this was a thing.

2015 was the last time UK landed a top 3 recruit (going off of 247 composite ranking). Now they got 2 in this class with Wagner and Edwards.

Kevin Knox: 2018 was their last top 10 pick (#9)
Fox: 2017 was their last top 5 pick (#5)
KAT: 2015 was their last top 3 pick (#1)

Its kind of crazy how quiet UK has been for quiet sometime when it comes to getting the top tier prospects.

they also got Bradshaw, who's #4 on 247, and Dillingham, a top 20 guy...probably UK's best recruiting class in a decade

Ya I just didnt add Bradshaw to the other two because I dont think he is as much of a NBA prospect as the other two. Obviously not saying he isnt a NBA prospect, just the tiny shoulders, major motor questions, no advanced on ball skills, and so on. I think similar to Derek Lively this year, as the season goes on his draft stock will drop.

But ya no doubt this feels like a UK class from the early 2010s.

Wow...that's crazy. Seems like you guys replaced UK up until NIL a year or so ago as far as where the top, top guys are going.

Would have been cool to see him follow in his dads footsteps and go to Memphis
