Sleeper Prospects

I'm very slow on this draft. Haven't watch a full game of Duke, Kentucky, etc. I want to know the unknown prospects that have potential going 1st like Primo, Trey Murphy, etc.

David Roddy has caught my eye, 6-5 250 pound sf.

I like Alondes Williams and Allen Flannigan. I can see both making it to an NBA team as a physical guard who can get some stops and make plays a bit. Flannigan has more potential as a shooter. He has regressed this year due to his recovery from injury, but if he returns to form during the tournament I think he could rise a lot.

Just my opinion. I’m not a scout guy like others here. He’s just not an nba athlete and plays below the rim. That could work I guess in the nba but he also can’t really shoot the 3 and I don’t know what position hed play.

His touch though around the basket is next level. Did you know he had a twin brother also on the team?

I know he has a brother, but I know he is not talented enough. My limited knowledge of Ąžuolas forms a similar opinion, he kinda does versatile things, but nothing that great, he can hit a jumper, but you dont really want him to be a shooter, he can score in the post, but he is not really efficient post master, and he can finish, but he is not long enough to be a great pick and roll finisher. I do think hes athletic tho, I am surprised you said he is not athletic, but I imagine you watched him far more than I did.

P.S. word ąžuolas mean oak in Lithuanian, as in the tree. Unlike American English, most Lithuanian names aren't nouns of something else, but Ąžuolas is a rare exception and a common Lithuanian male name. Oak itself in Lithuanian culture is valued and kinda a symbol of strength or smth, probably as a remnant of old paganist culture still.

I agree with your analysis. He really is pretty good at everything but he doesn't have that one great trait he probably needs to be an NBA player.

I don't think he's some super slow unathletic dude but I don't think he's an NBA athlete. A lot of his game is craftiness below the rim. He does have super quick hands though and forces a lot of turnovers when AZ presses on D.

But yeah, I obviously hope he makes the league but I don't see it. He's been a joy to watch these past couple of years.

I think he can be an NBA player. I'd invest a second round pick in him and see what he can do with a year or two of NBA athletic and shooting training. Size, feel and baseline skills are there to work with, he'll just have to put in a lot of work to become a respectable shooter and always stay in top shape.
