I don't see a thread for him and I currently have him no. 17 on my big board. There's a bunch of guys ranked lower than him who have their own thread..

6'7" with a 7'1" wingspan.

Still only 19 years old. Won't turn 20 till July.

Starter all season for the team that many feel is the best squad in the country.

One of the best guard/wing defenders in the draft.

The combination of length, athleticism, youth, defense and passing ability, should be enough to put him in the 1st round. Add in that he's got his 3 pt % up to 35% now..

Passing-wise, really good at hitting cutters, very unselfish player who looks to find the open man rather than looking for his own shot - a ball mover, glue guy, connector type rather than a ball dominant guy. He's also good at cutting to the basket himself.

Plus, he's definitely got a swagger about him. Confidence is not an issue for him.

A couple of plays worth checking out in the TCU game the other night:
5:45 sick steal, picking Mike Miles' pocket, then the layup on the other end. Proof of how good of a perimeter defender he is.
6:43 sick box out, boxes out the huge center on TCU, Eddie Lampkin who's 6'11", 268 lbs. How often do you see a 195 lbs guard box out a 260 lbs (Lampkin is probably even bigger than that) center that well? That shows Terry is fearless, he's a winner, and he does the little things well.

He was also a freak in HS:

Anyone else have him top 20?

Latest Tankathon mock has him going undrafted, so he's probably the most underrated prospect in the class right now IMO: https://www.tankathon.com/mock_draft

yes

lack of scoring/shooting could be problematic in NBA for him but I think he's got enough tools and skill to contribute as a PG in the NBA. possible lotto guy for me as a high ceiling PG play possibly.

Super raw in some spots but he’s my favorite player in CBB. Some team this year will get him knowing he’d be a lotto pick in 23’.

Looking at his skills and athleticism, he appears as if he could have easily been more productive on a lessor talented team. He reminds me of guys like Shake Milton and John Salmon.

He should be averaging more than 7.8 points as a college sophomore. Huge wingspan and can't score sets off Ntilikina alarms.

That's an interesting comparison. That could be the case, but I think it's more that Ntilikina can't shoot while Dalen is unselfish, on a talented team, and his minutes are low for a starter. That creates a rather uniquely low PPG for such a skilled college player. I believe that at the very least his scoring output would be more like Patrick McCaw if he played for a lessor talented college team.

2020-2021 season = 32.6% from 3
First 22 games of 2021-2022 season = 25% from 3 (10/40)
Last 16 games of 2021-2022 season = 48.6% from 3 (18/37, including 9/14 from 3 during last 5 games which is 64.3%)
