Re: Pre Draft Events Invite Lists
alex barcello will surprise people. he's a great player, but ultimately a "not quite" nba prospect. just a tad too small, too slow and doesn't handle quite well enough. but he'll be great in portsmouth and eventually in europe if he chooses that path.

Re: Pre Draft Events Invite Lists
Day 1 G league elite:
Jared Rhoden - flashed good vision and showed a high motor. Good length and size and should be drafted
AJ Green - did a great job moving the ball around and controlled the tempo when he was in the game. Hit some 3's to keep defenses honest
Jalen Wilson - also flashed a high motor and versatility switching. He hit from the perimeter and had a good game overall
Kenneth Lofton - slimmed down 25lbs and he was dominant offensively. He connected on 2 threes. His footwork and resulting post moves were a few cuts above everyone else here. Also, he passed well out of the post.

Re: Pre Draft Events Invite Lists
Day 2 G League Elite:
Kenneth Lofton - flashed again with a pretty dominant post effort. He did get into foul trouble and D will be his biggest question mark, but you cannot argue with his interior post moves, as well as his improved 3 pt jumper
Bryson Williams - was also solid in day 1, but he really flashed here today scoring just about at will inside. He can stretch and he uses every bit of that 7'2 wingspan
Quenton Jackson - great activity level again this game, but he did a better job defensively. He has outstanding hands and does a great job getting to the rim and finishing. Tested as a plus athlete, which reflects what you see on tape.
Tyrese Martin - he was back to his PIT ways in this one and made several great reads on offense. He also did an excellent job on the glass and was effective both shooting and finishing. Good 2 way player, like Jackson.
Buddy Boeheim - went on a serious hot streak and was scorching from beyond the arc.

The first day he was tentative and had to adjust to the play style (said in an interview he was nervous). Mid way through the first game, he found his stride. He was excellent in game 2, hitting open shots and getting in the lane and distributing. I liked his game a lot. With many of the skilled wings coming from the international ranks, there will be another level of ball security adjustment because the hands of players in the US are quicker generally and.they capitalize on mistakes faster in transition.
