I’m going to miss this dude. He’s only 51. I know a lot of y’all hate him but he’s an OG and I’m glad he’s going out on top, so to speak. His pod is great imo

I don't think people hate him, they just don't respect him. He lacks integrity. He went back and changed draftboards after the fact. He definitely is not going out on top. He faded away into obscurity a long time ago.

Good luck to him though in his retirement.

Yup, I wont lie. I dont think Ive paid any attention to him since all that came out. I think that was like 7-8 years ago and ya I honestly have no clue what he has been doing the last 7-8 years. I dont think Ive paid any attention to anything he has said since.

This just means he doesn’t truly love the draft & scouting. I stopped paying attention to him after the Darko nonsense. Aloha Choad.

This should read that he is retiring again, because he already did it a few years ago when he left ESPN, then came back briefly with the Locked On podcast network, then started his own again. He seems like someone from an era where recreationally liking a sport was enough to qualify you as a *good* sports journalist.

I hated how he peddled those stupid built bars on his podcast.

His passion is mediating. He realized that after a lengthy conversation with Mutumbo on a bus in Africa leaving a basketball camp in the mid 2000s.

He does enunciate 'built bar' to the point where it's annoying. Not going to dispute that.

I liked listening to his takes and he was spot on about Scottie last year.

Wow I thought he was way older than that.

Was kinda shocked by how little views he would get on YouTube. Less than most random kids talking for local teams.

I honestly didn't even know he had a YT channel until I read your post. I'm not sure the YT format is most conducive for his podcast format since most people are probably listening on their phones when they're working out etc.

Honestly, from a perspective of being in touch with how NBA level teams felt about the prospects at their draft slot, he seemed pretty in touch. He wasn't really a guy that could scout what he saw and project his own rankings, but he was pretty good at projecting what teams intended to do on draft night.
