BPA is Duren/Williams/Eason

I have no idea what the Wizards need.

The Wizards need someone other than Beal that can make something happen on offense - Jonathan Davis would be a great pick here. He's also a good defender, so he's going to be a quality starter in the league in all likelihood, with a chance of developing into something more.

So far this consensus mock is nearly identical to NBA Tankathons Mock.

Except it has Griffin going 7th.

Went Duren because I have no faith in KP, but the Wizards are hard, probably the worst situation in the league.

Makes sense. There is no perfect fitting piece for the Wizards. Davis is BPA here.

Close Davis/Dieng/Eason, picked Eason. What the Wiz really need is to take a long shot at a future all NBA player to get them out of the treadmill of mediocrity, and I think Eason has the highest ceiling.

It's a draw. Does the next vote decide?

They really need a point guard. This pick, and the Blazers tryna get vets around Dame, seem the most likely to be traded. Washington has useful pieces at every position but no lead guard to bring it all together. If they were just going to take BPA based on upside I'd lean towards Dieng as a guy who could be special by the time his rookie deal is ending.

I went Duren. PG and C are the biggest areas of need. Franchise player Beal is a SG. Last 3 drafts they went PF (rui), wing (Kispert) and big wing (Deni) in the 1st round. They've got Porzingis who can play C, so their biggest need is PG but I wouldn't take any of the available PGs this high in the draft so they're better off getting a PG via trade/free agency and grabbing Duren here. Duren could be a good fit next to Porzingis since spacing would be fine (KP can shoot it) and Duren's big body can mix it up inside vs bigger centers which KP isn't really built for.

Washington needs talent. They don't have much of it outside of Beal. Duren has plenty of talent and star upside.
