Do you care if Woj 'spoils' picks?

I'm just curious what the consensus is from the draft board since I know you all spend a lot of time through the season doing your research.
I'm in the camp that hates it. I like to watch the draft fresh and have the picks announced organically.

first, it's not just woj, at this point shams gets just as many. but to your question, no. if you don't want to know stay off twitter - pretty simple, really.

I don't so much care what's being reported ahead of the draft. During the draft I don't want anyone revealing the pick until it's announced though, that's what I find annoying.

Fair enough. It also means that you have to stay off the forums which kind of sucks because people will repost and I like to interact with the community so I think it’s a fair question

I don't really care. GMs made their decision days/weeks ago so if I get the news from a tweet or live show it won't change anything.

That’s my thing.
It doesn’t add anything to the fan experience, it just proves that Woj can get a scoop, which we already knew.
In an ideal world, I’d be able to watch the draft and scroll Twitter for instant reactions without spoilers, but what can you do.

Woj is benefiting... If he wasn't he wouldn't be doing it. It's a business.

Yep unfortunately that’s true. That’s why espn is paying him $5m a year.

ESPN would be making way more $ if didn't leak the picks

How exactly would they make more $ from someone at a different company leaking the picks?

ESPN executives know more about what gets ratings than you do. They have teams that study this stuff man.

My guess is ESPN doesnt like him doing it, but he's allowed to because its technically his job. Im guessing that is why after his 1st year with ESPN he stopped coming straight out saying player X was drafted. He was coming up with ways to say it without actually saying it and then that became a running gag for awhile.
My guess is that ESPN has thought about it and probably came to the conclusion that its a smaller hit letting Woj do this, than telling him he's not allowed to and letting a guy like Shams get all the online attention for the entire night.

You guys make it sound like he runs out on stage and knocks down Adam silver before he can announce it.

It doesn't affect me much but I don't visit Twitter much to be honest I'm not huge on social media. This and YouTube are the only real social media I visit daily.

Then Woj benefits. He’s got his own business to run. This isn’t that hard to figure out man. It’s all about the Benjamin’s.

yea, that's my entire point, there is literally 0 point to it other than a flex for Woj to tweet the pics 30 seconds before they are announced.
congrats, you finally got it.
