Right, but some people in this thread are acting like if you have anyone over him you're an idiot.

Interesting.

You watch the strengths section of the vid, and you think he's a lock for the #2 pick.

You watch the weaknesses section, and you're questioning if he even goes top 5 lol.

Really?

His question marks are child's play compared to everyone after him.

He's a good midrange shooter, I think that makes it a lock he'll be able to at least get to average from behind the line.

Point guard position is hard, PnR game takes a while to perfect and understand.

Defense could be concerning if after two years you realize he hasn't the mental ability to process it and understand it, but there are no question marks with his athletic ability he can be decent by just trying
Robert Horry is better than MJ, because everybody knows that 7>6.

I really like him and think he's an elite PG prospect but I'm just as high on the twins. #2 shouldn't be set in stone for anyone. #1 is the only thing people should be universally agreed upon.

Basically, where I started this process at. If I need a point guard sign me up I think he is probably a ten-year starter, don't know if he is a multi-time all-star, but I can live with it. Where I run into issues is the BPA margin and you just have to jam him into your starting lineup no matter what because he is that elite of a prospect...

If I am Pistons, I am taking Miller over him all day. Instead of jamming him with Cade and Ivey and trying to make it work.

If I am Pacers, Hornets, Blazers I am also not jamming because his fit with Hali, LaMelo and Dame/Simmons doesn't make sense. If a player isn't a good pick for half the teams in the lottery I can't make the case, he is a lock for #2 or #3 pick.

Whereas Miller fits on Spurs, Rockets, Hornets, Pistons, Blazers, Bulls, Wizards, Magic etc etc..

Well, I'm just saying that defense and outside shooting are both things that are extremely important in today's NBA. If he can't hit outside shots and if he's also a liability on D, that might not be a great guy to use a top 3 pick on.

And based on the video, there'a a chance that he could struggle in both areas at the next level.

With that being said, I do still have him ranked #2. But there is some cause for concern..

I think that most of us here are in agreement that the #2 spot is up for grab after Scoot didn’t really show that he was the guy that he was hyped up to be. Still a nice little player, but no generational dude like we were all led to believe.

You have a disconnect bro.

Have you ever heard someone compare LeBron and Jordan? Just because they point out negatives on one or other doesn't mean they don't think they are a top 10 player in history.

It is no different comparing Scoot to other top 5 prospects.

Dude is like LaVar Ball propping his sons up with how protective he is of Scoot.

I can't fathom how anyone can think Scoot is not going #2.

Right? Have they not looked at the mocks? Those are never wrong come draft day.

90% of mock drafts operate in a hive mind.

I can't say that I enjoy the opposite end of the spectrum either where the takes are so wild like a Dean on the Draft for instance.

but yeah give me something in the middle with a few spicy takes. Love when 75% of NFL mock drafts have the same middle linebacker mocked to a team at pick 20.... That doesn't just happen if they aren't relying on what their peers are putting out.

NBA GM's have already come out and told media people that they have Miller over him.

No, it's not the same.

Having the best guard prospect in years slip in the draft is insane.

I really don't care what has been said by GM's, I personally cant fathom Scoot not going #2.

nah, you're fully trying to retcon all the garbage you were peddling in this thread, from Scoot being too small to being a bad shooter to unable to finish to being a bad defend. the maths isn't adding up.
