probably the two closest cats in the draft for me in eval...who you got and where are they on your bb?

Hendricks per100: 26/12/2 with 2/3 on 48/39/78, 7.9 BPM, +25.3 Net Rating, 22.5 PER

I have Jarace over him for his playmaking ability
4 assists per 100 compared to 2.4

and his frame of 240lbs vs 210lbs, Jarace is Lebron big.

Jarace being 240 is as much of a hindrance as it is a benefit for him. My guess is looking at TH's frame over time he'll put on a good 15 pounds of muscle and still be able to move better than Jarace. Taylor hasn't scratched the surface of his frame, whereas Jarace is pretty much what he's going to be.

I like Hendricks more with Walker I love playmaking in prospects, but unless he shows out in workouts I see him closer to a role player I'm not sure he has the on ball ability to tap into that much. Hendricks is also a much better shooter then Walker imo making him more well rounded.

He is pure muscle though... it is not like he is carrying a bunch of unneeded weight around. I said the same thing about Paolo last year. Dudes that big that young are freak athletes for their size even when compared to other NBA guys.

Walker's body is impressive but he still has no clue how to use it and doesn't really play with force consistently, if he figures that out he'll a problem but again if he doesn't and he's just a body who's more finesse he won't reach his potential

it's always tricky with guys that are already well developed physically early, said this about Randle, Simmons and Paolo as well, the question is are they already closer to their ceilings than players who still have a lot of room to grow years 20-23 physically, Walker probably falls in the same category but maybe less because again while he does have a great body he still has no clue how to use it

Would be interesting if we could simulate 5 games of Hendricks on Houston and 5 games of Jarace on UCF.

Walker is a legitimate triple threat from 20 feet in, whereas Hendricks is more of a stand-still shooter at this stage. Not to say that Hendricks can't develop more versatility, but Walker's potential to be dynamic with the ball sets him apart.

Hendricks, but it’s close.

I had them ranked 4 and 5 before the tournament, though I’m close to putting Hendricks up to 3

That wouldn't really prove anything since being a better college player does not mean you'll be a better NBA player.

Guess you had Zach Edey (this year) and Luke Garza (in 2021) ranked #1 on your board?

This is where the pre-draft process comes into play. I want to see these guys at the combine and get "official" measurements. I think they'll be top 6-7 picks regardless it's just who comes before who. Just remember, these are guys who won't have the ball in their hands at the next level. I'm done overrating this type of player, thinking they'll have the kind of careers they otherwise might if not for the fact the league has turned into a guard/wing high usage chucking fest, leaving these types of guys fighting for the scraps.

Jarace is built kind of like Isaiah Stewart, which is to say a bit too top heavy for my liking. He needs more leg days. Taylor has the prototypical NBA body imo.

I have Hendricks 5th and Walker 7th. I had Walker ahead for most of the season.

Hendricks is just so athletic, and so good at being the best player in the flow of the game.

He might not be as skilled as Walker with the ball, but with his physicality and shooting he's probably going to be more consistent as a 3rd option type.

He's my #6, might bump to #5

How about Walker vs Hendricks vs GG?

The knock on Walker and Hendricks is lacking in creation ability - and less upside to be an offensive engine.

Well, GG has that - and he's like a year younger than both of them..GG probably has lowest floor but highest ceiling of the 3.

Hendricks and jarace project as good role players, at best. GG has more star upside.

Discuss..

So you have GG way ahead of the other 2 or you have GG way behind them?

The way you worded your post, implies you have GG way ahead of the other 2. Just figured I'd confirm - since it seems like consensus has GG ranked lower than Jarace and Hendricks.

GG has the most red flags out of the 3, but also the highest ceiling, depends on risk tolerance and development outlook for your team if you're actually willing to go thru some rough patches with him

Wow, interesting to see such a large gap there.

Do you mind sharing why you have such a large gap?

I'm assuming you are much more risk averse and like players with a higher floor and perhaps rely really heavily on stats for your rankings - and less on upside/potential?

Have you watched the box and one scouting report vid on GG yet? It is very eye opening. I'm having a hard time not putting him top 10 when watching this. Keep in mind, Zaire went 10th, Kuminga went 7th, patrick williams went 4th. Teams aren't shy about taking guys who might not have the best stats but have high upside, are 6'8"+ who are young, have good athleticism and an intriguing skill set.
