Curious to see how the next year will look like (I still believe he will reclassify and next year be his final in HS). But at the moment and browsing through RSCI rankings. I have him in the group of KD, AD, Zion as the most exciting high school prospects Ive seen since LeBron. Defensively he just screams AK-47 and AK-47 defensively in today's NBA is even more valuable than when AK was playing in his prime. Then offensively I think he needs to speed up the jumper. But him already being in the high 80s as a FT shooter just makes him that much freakier of a prospect.

I don't see the AK defensive comp here, doesn't look as long or nearly as freaky quick twitch at that size.

He seems like one of the best defensive prospects in recent memory, maybe since AD

His combination of height, wingspan, defensive processing speed and timing, shot blocking, deflections, steals is insane

Puts up unreal STOCK numbers at every level, I mean he had 10/17 with 8 steals and 4 blocks in 27 mins in the u17 world c'ship final. He was a year younger than the other dudes there too.

Now that the offense is catching up, yeah he's an insane prospect, definitely see the AK47 comp on defense

I dont know his wingspan, but he sure does play really long. Not just on blocking shots, that dude gets steals and deflections all game long. I dont know how AK looked athletically at 15-16 years old, but Flagg agility for his size is pretty damn good. Ya he isnt a super explosive leaper, but overall he is a pretty good athlete for his size.

No real disagreement here, he's a great looking prospect, just don't see the AK comp. Pretty good athlete is nice. I have AK well into the freak category, top 1-2% of NBA athletes ever.

I don't think I've ever seen any footage of AK when he was on the St Petersburg team as an early teen, though I've seen some video of him at CSKA after that (17-19), first I could find today (at 17 years old):

He's like a modern version of Bobby Jones or a white version of Iguodala. Brent Barry also comes to mind.

Thats the thing though, I see that clip and I think the AK comp is even better. I see that clip of AK and Im not seeing really any drastic difference in athleticism. He seems to be moving around very similar to Flagg is right now. Not seeing any drastic differences in explosion or quickness. Body wise and athletically, Flagg looks very similar to that clip of a young AK.

Ya I cant find anything official for Flagg's wingspan. Ive seen 7'1 and 7'2 being tossed around. Wouldnt shock me if its around there. Dont think its the freakish 7'4 like AK, but his wingspan is still legit big.

Watched Flagg’s last two games. Ya the dude isn’t just long, he’s no doubt a damn good athlete. He moves so freaking well for his size.
