Brandon Miller sliding? Out of shape, interviews going poorly

Brandon Miller is the type of multi-dimensional wing that every team in the NBA covets considering how he could become a very productive player even if he doesn't reach his ceiling. Miller's talent and position has put him under consideration to be drafted as high as No. 2 by the Charlotte Hornets.
But there are still questions surrounding Miller's involvement in the killing of Jamea Jonae Harris and his interviews reportedly have not gone well in addition to his current conditioning level...
"I would put it 60 percent Brandon Miller at two, 40 percent Scoot Henderson. I do think they're going to have trade conversations too. I would be shocked if they traded [the pick]. They would be out of their minds honestly. The best thing in the world that could have happened for them is getting the No. 2 pick."

Overrated too slight to be that dude in the NBA is what I saw after he no showed when playing bigger body type college players.
Easy pass imo, like the Thompsons and Cam better

im not a big Brandon Miller guy but I believe nothing that comes out of FOs before the draft

Always take anything you hear reported this time of year with a grain of salt. A lot of media members getting used to push GM agendas this time of year.

The best way to examine the evidence is to take the interviews yourself. Determine whether or not Miller is who he is. Reliable or not. Time to do that draft research. It's that time of the year.

this is funny. scoot has been the #2 pick for two years and has stayed there. now givony is saying 60% Brandon Miller at #2, 40% Scoot. so he has replaced Scoot at #2, but he's not in good shape and he has interviewed poorly. how the hell has he replaced Scoot at #2 if he's looking so bad. just doesn't add up. dumb.

I'm not a big Miller guy but Givony is a tool who puts out whatever any team tells him to. This is probably a favor from some team that wants him to drop or otherwise think he isn't going where he's probably gonna go

Woj said the exact opposite - that he was coming off as a mature young man in interviews. So yeah BS season is in full bloom, believe nothing you read from the media.

hes coming off a real bad groin injury btw. those are very tricky to rehab so they probably had him chilling since hes going high no matter what.

I agree the "report" is likely bogus...Miller seems to not understand a couple of the more complex questions put forth, and certainly doesn't seem like the brightest prospect we've ever seen interviewed. But he's a 20 year old...not sure we can really tell much either way from this interview.

Ya I agree with basically everyone else, dont buy any over the top positive or negative reports about guys coming out right now. Its all smoke shows going on. Hell this time last year the public thought the Magic werent even considering Paolo and didnt even have a workout with him.
I got high on Miller, but to me the biggest red flag about him was the bad 2nd half of the season he had. 39% shooting, 31% from 3, 53 TS% in his final 19 games. It seemed he was getting figured out by the 2nd half of the season and he doesnt really have the strength or the athleticism to put him in that wow territory either.

Yes we briefly talked about this on the Blazers board when this news of Miller came out. Shaedon was routinely slammed by the media/some others because of how he came across in interviews. But he's just quiet and young. It isn't from a lack of care, disinterest or anything. It's just he's a quiet guy.
There's no fears there after watching him this year and people should just understand that these are kids. Not everyone is super polished, trained, comfortable being interviewed and under the spotlight.
