I didn’t dive super deep into this draft and I missed this kid. He’ll need a minute to adjust to NBA athleticism and to settle into a role offensively but it’s all there, he isn’t missing any ingredients to be a real NBA guy. In fact, if his shooting stays and he is coachable I would not be surprised to see him getting time with Domas. On paper and in college film he is the best fit stylistically amongst the Kings options.

Seems he was a true under the radar guy, 5th year senior from a small conference. None of that changes the tools and skills. An athletic weakside shot blocking four that can shoot, is exactly the archetype Sac needs next to Sabonis.

He screams second round steal if you buy his shooting and athleticism at the NBA level.

He is going to have to learn how to play without the ball. At Furman they let him do things he will never do in the NBA. However, his primary value is going to be as a defensive specialist and spot-up shooter. If he doesn't do those things well, he will be off to Europe for the rest of his basketball existence.

Agreed. All of the primary wing scorer elements have to go away. The spot up shooter, grab and go guy as well as hub passer skills hopefully stick.

All he needs to do is six things he is totally capable of doing; defend, rebound, run, shoot, attack close outs and move the ball.
