1. Wemby

2. Edwards

3. Haiburton
4. Scoot
5. Holmgren
6. Mobley

7. Banchero
8. LaMelo
9. Cade
10. Wagner
11. Giddey
12. Smith Jr

13. Murphy III
14. Bane
15. Barnes
16. Jalen Williams
17. Amen
18. Jalen Green
19. Miller
20. Sharpe

Wemby has a chance to be a generational player--nobody else does.
Edwards has a chance to be the best player on a title team--it is hard for me to see anyone else doing that.
Hali through Mobley can all be good #2 on a title team [if they reach their ceilings].
Banchero through Smith Jr all have a major red flag [Giddey's is lack of athleticism, for those wondering] but are super talented and could be #2 or strong #3 on a title team.
Murphy III through Sharpe all lack the star ceiling or have major question marks [Some like Amen or Miller just haven't played at the NBA level where guys like Bane seem to have a clear ceiling].

you need to watch OKC play if you think there are 15 better choices than Jalen Willians. Spoiler alert: there's not.

Jalen Williams is nice, but he’s a role player.

have we soured on Cade due to the injury or was he never high on radars to begin with?

I watch him plenty

I see no reason he couldn't be 13th on my list [The gaps are tiers].

A bit of both.

Not many rookies miss a ton of games their first 2 seasons and turn out to be Top 10-15 player in the league type guys [Embiid comes to mind right off the bat as a lone counter-example].

On top of that, his Ceiling to me was Jayson Tatum. I think given what he has shown at an NBA level, that ceiling is a bit unrealistic. His shooting wasn't as great as we thought it would be [Team environment may play a role here] but just look who is ahead of him:

Wemby [Obvious]
Edwards [Shines in post-season with Peak Kobe Numbers and is a better athlete than Cade]
Haliburton [His playmaking is remarkable, as is his shooting]
Scoot [Terrific PG prospect]
Holmgren + Mobley [DPOY while being + on offense]
Banchero + LaMelo [There is a lot of upside for both these guys and LaMelo/Cade are the same age, but I have them in the same tier]

I never bought Cade as "Clear cut best on championship team" potential and I always struggled to see how he develop into Tatum/PG13 type wing.

I think a lot of time when scouting, we get to a point where we can notice + and -, but the next [and much more difficult level] is evaluating "How will this player take these tools and get from Point A to Point B". Cade has nice tools but what does it look like when he puts it all together?

ah didn't realize the gaps were tiers.

that said, he's not on a lower tier than Giddey.

He is 1.5 years older than Giddey

Giddey still has untapped upside given his age and size.

Haven't soured and still believe he can end up top 5, but it would be unfair to rate highly given the body of work. Availability plays a big part in that but also his inability to draw fouls or score efficiently.

Thanks bro, good to see you as well. I'm still serving a one year ban on the general board for making the mistake of going after anti-semites, but that was before I learned that anti-semites are a protected class here at RGM.

That's what it seems like and it's not unfair to have him lower on the list because of the injuries but people will acknowledge him this upcoming season if he stays healthy, I'm very confident of that.

dude it's way too early for this thread. it's entirely informed by recency bias. no one smart would form strong opinions this early. look at the lists posted. people here have no idea how to properly access potential. it's basically who put up the best stats on bad teams.

What are you talking about?

This is literally a forum for players who have never played a game in the NBA

Also, you have no idea why or how I made my list. Actually--you do know how I made it, I described the players and not once did I mention "Stats" from bad teams :banghead:
