2026 NBA DRAFT CLASS

Post#1 » by Chi town » Tue Feb 4, 2025 4:29 pm

Now that my Bulls have finally picked a lane and will be rebuilding...

I think the 25 Class is really good and deep with high end talent through the top ten.
I think the 26 Class is elite in top end franchise changing talent 1-4.

I’d take Dybantsa and Peterson over Flagg.

I’d take Boozer and Ament over Harper and Ace.

BTW Peterson is a freak athlete and has been a phenom since he was 13. Don't recall the last SG prospect that has shown the combo of athleticism and handle like him.

Supposedly Arizona wants burries over arenas which is why arenas picked usc. I heard burries could go top 5…

I want to see Jayden Quaintance do nothing but work on his offense all off-season. Come into next year with a jump shot and you have a serious two way talent. He has DPOY potential.

Great Adidas Next Generation Tournament Euroleague for Adam Atamna, one of the youngest prospects of the 2026 NBA draft (born in december 2007). A great scorer who can also pass, defend and rebound

I personally think he wants to play for Kelvin Sampson/Houston. However, his options (Baylor, Arizona, Arizona State, Texas is a distant fifth) are all great. The issue with Houston is, they don't always start freshmen and this kid is a f'n beast. Like Boozer/Flagg, he's been a dominator for the teen Team USA. Basically unstoppable.

I think ultimately it boils down to Houston, Arizona and Baylor. NIL won't be an issue because he's a future NBA guy regardless. Gun to my head, I say he signs with Houston in the spring.

Dybansta not being #1 right off the bat is interesting.

I like Quantance but he's not a top 5 prospect, maybe not even top 10. I know people like Peterson, I haven't watched him yet.

Let's never forget that Givony had Bronny James mocked #10 this time two years ago.

ESPN probably made him do it, but still...

This is pretty young cohort with no one being a +1 aged prospect.

Cam and Jayden are dead smack proper aged for a freshman, being ~19 on draft day.

Peterson, Dybansta, Ament are the oldest possible age for proper aged freshman at 19.5 on draft day.

For reference, Coop is the youngest possible aged freshman about to get drafted at 18.5 on draft day. (Ament actually has basically the same birthday as Coop as he was technically draft eligible this year).

watching the Nike Hoop Summit and man this class appears to be stacked. I think we might have a rival for 1984 and 1996. I think every team outside of the top 3 in the 2025 draft should be trying to trade out of this class for 2026 picks.

There are guys that are intriguing, but high school scouting is just not that good. I wouldn't feel comfortable at all ranking the top 10 guys until seeing them play in college with real competition, real offenses being played and accurate statistical records.

Too many Nick Smith Jr, Vernon Carey, Dariq Whitehead and Brandon Bostons last few years for my liking.

Nike Hoop Summit was a lot better when the international team was actually an international team and not just non-american High School players from the US. And still, the US team struggled to win against an international team without probably its top 5-6 players. Shows you how bad US basketball development has gotten
