I'm one of the few who think Noa should be getting serious looks in the lotto (top 10).

I think Noa should be getting looks Top-5. I think his talent level and athletic traits are in line with Ace Bailey.

Bingo. That’s where I’m at too.
I think his floor is relatively high too due to his defense and IQ. I believe in his shot and cutting ability. If he develops anything on ball with the handle and we have a very unique player that is a matchup nightmare. Also think his length will be a real problem on D.
I think Spurs will take him at 8.
I’d love for my Bulls to get him at 12 to run with Buz. If he’s gone an no one falls I’m trading back.

Re: Carter Bryant vs Noa Essengue
Not to lump all French players together, but Coulibaly and Salune both had big rises before the draft. I expect the same with Essengue.
I wouldn't really bother with Bryant unless I'm a team with multiple picks in the first round (BKN).

I have some worries about Essengue, but he has better physical tools, more skill, and played in a better league.

France are producing basically KD style bodies at positions 3-5. Also skill not too off with the body style. Nobody is wanting to miss that boat while it's still boarding. NE for the Hawks would just make me want attend the games, I think he'd be awesome overall.
Any French dudes knows the lvl of comp his league provides. My guess is former D1 all conference caliber player a few seasons removed from college.
I'll take Bryant as well. Like both guys almost equally.

Give me Bryant. Easy plug and play 3nd player. I see Anunoby/Aaron Gordon there. Great phisical tools, shoots very well and the defense is surreal.
Essengue needs a lot to go right for him to pan out.

I would be all-in on Essengue if he had a better handle. As it is, he wins this year's Nic Batum award.

It wouldn't take that much for him to be like Shane Battier.

The more I watch Essengue's defensive reactions and the more I watch his passing, the more I think he could be like Andrei Kirilenko. I'm in on him now.

Re: Carter Bryant vs Noa Essengue
Essenge has the prettiest movement in the class. And his dad is a coach. Some days I have him top 4.
I believe the shot will come around, but how great does he become if the shot and creation just gets to "ok."The reason giannis got so good is he physically transformed. I think this guy is gonna stay skinny. They say he struggles finishing in traffic if it isn't a dunk.
Everything I see looks like he is ready to blossom.

That's where I am too. I have to squint really hard to see r Essengue to becoming an NBA contributor, especially on his first contract.aguiar95 wrote:Give me Bryant. Easy plug and play 3nd player. I see Anunoby/Aaron Gordon there. Great phisical tools, shoots very well and the defense is surreal.

Re: Carter Bryant vs Noa Essengue
Bryant is now 9th on my big board, it is going to be easy for him to get on the floor in the NBA as a guy that can guard 2-4 and make open threes. If anything else develops then he is a steal.
Essengue is really toolsy but I don't know what he does well enough to earn minutes, I could see a team drafting him to be a Coulibaly type of wing defender or I could see a team take him as a stretch 5- which kinda shows how his role isn't defined at this point.

Re: Carter Bryant vs Noa Essengue
I'm a fan of both. I'm obviously the resident Bryant fan but I'm also very intrigued by Essengue's tools after watching him a bit more. I would seriously look at both players in the 3-5 range. I think teams will generally prefer Essengue's somewhat more intriguing upside over what I consider to be Bryant's somewhat higher floor in a straightforward role.

Re: Carter Bryant vs Noa Essengue
Different game. But Essengue’s body, athleticism, and movement reminds me of Jaden McDaniels. He’s got elastic man athleticism. If he really dedicates himself, I feel like he could be an impact defender. Offense is the question. Is he just a transition runner, junk man around the rim, or does he have some on ball and/or floor spacing shooter in his future.

His crazy body type and IQ give him a strong floor. That length will play on D big time and he’s shown some shot creation that will always be there with his height shooting over defense in the mid post. His FT rate helps him even if his 3 ball only becomes average.
I’ve seen J McD, J Grant, and Tayshaun as comps. I think his D plays right away like those guys but I think he will have more juice on offense. If he keeps growing (just turned 18) he could be a unicorn smallball 5 in lineups.
I’d take Noa as high as 7. Hope my Bulls get him at 12.
