How is there not a thread? This is the best time of the year for Draftniks.

Why don’t you lead off with initial observations?

Is there anything to observe yet?

The combine is where you see what your picks are really worth. the top 3-5 probably don't change. But the teams at say 6-20 suddenly see the guys they thought about either going up from say 14 to 6 and are out of their reach or guys start falling and the teams 12-20 start asking what is everybody seeing that this guy is dropping to us? The same guys who are a reach at #10 start looking like a steal at #18 and nobody knows who is right or wrong

Wow ace is only 6’7? I thought he was 6’9 barefoot. Good numbers for VJ. People were saying 6’2. Good numbers for queen also

VJ and Dylan bigger than people here thought. Cooper not so much.

No surprises here for me minus VJ measure a little bigger than he looked on tape.

Nailed Queens measurements. Little longer than I thought.

Kon was right in line with my eyes. Short wingspan but short neck so standing reach is still avg for a SG.

Sorber is literally bigger than Queen. So much for that narrative.

Queen is going to have to be an offensive dominator at the 4, but at 6'10 (in shoes), he just might be. Good measurements for him.

Decent amount of smaller centers, I think if he can play on the perimeter as a stretch 5 that is plenty big enough with a decent wingspan and his weight allows him to play bigger than he is.

So far I would say

winners are Harper, Tre, Maluach, Sorber, Jaku, Wolf, Demin, Fleming

neutral- Flagg, Bailey, VJ, Fears, Queen, etc...

losers- Jace Richardson, Kon, Newell, Condon

Richardson is even smaller than I thought he was from watching on TV. A 6'1 combo guard. Basically, if you draft him, it's because of his father and you pray he turns into Lou Williams (which is asking a lot).

Agree with everyone minus Jaku and Kon, at least in terms of what my expectations were for them. Both were right in line with what I thought.

Vj I'd probably put as a winner. He measured out taller, longer and with a better reach than I thought.

Kon with the worst height to wingspan difference in 30 measurements released, plus at 6-5 with that wingspan I think he is limited to only playing the 2 in the NBA. A good win for him would have been 6-6.5 and 6-8 wingspan and at that point maybe you could sell him on a 3, but the dude is too slow to guard 2s.

Jaku being 6-6 in shoes with a 6-8 wingspan at the point I think was pretty solid win whether it was expected or not.

Harper being 6'4.5'' with 6'10.5'' wingspan was a good win for him.

Bigs listed by standing reach, so far.

Khaman 9’6" standing reach
Kalkbrenner 9’4” standing reach
Goldin 9’3” standing reach
Raynaud 9’2” standing reach
Queen 9’1 ½" standing reach
Fleming 9’1 ½" standing reach
Sorber 9’1"standing reach
Wolf 9’1” standing reach
Broome 9’0 ½" standing reach
Ruzic 9’0” standing reach
Condon 8’11 ½" standing reach
Newell 8’11 ½"standing reach
Ace 8’11" standing reach
Flagg 8’10 ½" standing reach
CMB 8’10 ½" standing

I would say minimum you need a 9 foot standing reach to play center.
Newell, Condon and CMB really need to all play the 4.
