Another good game tonight against Clemson. Why isn't anyone really talking about this kid? He has NBA size, passes, rebounds, shoots. What am I missing? Seems like an obvious Lottery pick.

I think Vecenie may have just put him in the first round, so that's a start.

It'll be interesting were the shooting ends up. He also doesn't stand out physically in any one area, but the passing and ball handling certainly stand out at his size. Like the crafty footwork as a driver too.

Defensively he looks like the should be average. Smart, active...sticks his nose in things type guy. A bit deficient strength and length wise, but reacts well and competes.

The lack out of a standout skill or physical trait makes lottery sound a tiny bit rich at this point, but he's a smooth do it all wing that I'll definitely be monitoring.

He looks like an NBA player, for sure. Good size, strong passing instincts, can handle and probably shoot a bit, solid motor, not afraid of contact. Foot speed on defense is my biggest gripe/concern with him at the moment but with his size and decent motor, teams may still be able to turn him into a useful contributor on that end. Clearly looks like a FRP and if he continues on this trajectory I can definitely see him ending up in lottery or even some top 10 conversations.

He looks like a guy who can have a decent career as a role player. He’s not that young though. I could maybe see him returning BUT with Philon leaving that team might take a step back. This might be his best chance to go first round for a few seasons if ever. By then he might be labeled “old” and teams won’t see him as a project.

Considering the mocks have him available in the late first/early second I assume he stays in unless the feedback from the workouts is negative.

The positive is he is very toolsy and he’s shown he can operate in a NBA type offense. He’s legit worth a flyer.

I think he should stay in the draft, too, if he projects as a first rounder.

I don't really get it, to be honest. Every time I watch him he seems really slow, he is a mediocre shooter, and I think he gets exposed a bit if he has to be a lead initiator. That said, the filter that generally works the best for predicting NBA success is: 6-8 or taller, moves more like a perimeter player than a traditional power forward or center, can shoot, dribble, and pass. Allen almost meets a lot of those criteria and maybe he is just good enough at several or all of them to be a successful NBA role player.

Agreed, he's toolsy enough I can see a team taking a chance on his shot development and if he can at least not be a negative on defense. I don't think he is far on the defensive part, the defense they ran in Alabama did him no favors. Though his shot needs work it doesn't look broken.

At that point he is a legit NBA role-player. In the late 20's early, 30's that value for your pick. I think his ceiling could be off ball distributor, sort of how Josh Hart is for the Knicks.

The measurements came out and he is 6'5 without sneakers. I still see him as a Josh Hart secondary distributor and glue guy on offense, but the lack of height has me thinking he is second round bound. Especially in this draft full of 6'8 above forwards.

Go back to school and keep getting better. Those measurements are well below expectation. NIL was made for guys like him.
