I think Minnesota has the rights to Miami's 2nd this year.

I have a weird feeling that no matter what I will hate and love this draft year.

I go by nbadraft.net's draft order and I don't think they have added in all the traded picks yet.

Have a hard time thinking Jordan goes #1 after watching him play conference road games (the best way to evaluate talent in college is to watch non-home games against good teams or conference teams).

Minny would be drafting Jordan on his POTENTIAL, not necessarily what hes done in college. they need an athletic 5 next to Big Al, and Jordan gives them that. i do agree that hes been very un-impressive so far tho, with all the talent he has

Lakers get Patrick Patterson? I'd be ecstatic.

I like both players that the mock shows Seattle selecting. Rose is a no brainer and Hardin could be better already than Seattle's 3 young centers. But I would love to see the Sonics make a trade where they could get their hands on Jason Thompson. I could see a good frontcourt for the future with Jeff Green, Thompson, and Hardin.

I see where the mock has Seattle with only one pick in the second round. I think they own the Grizzlies second rounder as well. I would like to see them get Courtney Lee and/or Kyle Weaver.

If Chicago gets O.J. Mayo and Kyle Weaver I might just cream myself.

I admit, I bought into the Jordan hype early with the ESPN highlights and the hot FG%, but now that i've seen him twice this week, he looks very unimpressive and foul prone.

A good thing is that he is a very good athlete at 7ft, but I just don't see him as #1.

Cammo, what's your justification for the Raptors taking another PF? Doesn't fill a need for us. Is he just BPA?

I don't see the Raptors having any huge gaping needs. A solid big man would be helpful with Bargnani struggling and not much depth up front. Also, he pretty much is BPA at this point.

Gordon to Memphis is such a weird pick IMO that it's logical I guess. There's no real position need besides another post but it's too early and Greene is more of an outside guy. I'm not sure about PHX taking Smith over a PG. A PG to develop for the future is much more valuable than a swingman to PHX at this point. Taking a post player would also be better. I like the Walker to Dallas pick, his stock is going to jumping back up again pretty soon. I don't think he'll be at the lottery level but somewhere in the middle to 20s.

The Cavaliers 2nd round pick goes to Phoenix.

Cavaliers likely go big in the first round. They also need shooting more than a small PG.

This is a cool mock draft. This is the first one I've seen with Jordan at the top. He didn't look to good against Beasley and K-State, but he'd be drafted on potential anyway. Minnesota could use a big. It'll be interesting.

Jordan is a guy you draft on upside. Clearly he is not as good a player as Beasley, Rose or Gordon right now. Jordan is a legit 7 footer with good athleticism and those are few and far between. Think Aldridge minus the jumper. I just don't see Beasley fitting in Minny because he is too simular to Jefferson, who is their franchise cornerstone. Jordan and Jefferson are far better compliments potentially. Rose is another way they could go, but in these situations teams usually go big.

Thanks for the kind words.

your mock is pretty good overall but i can't see the sixers taking another wing player with darrell arthur on the board. especially since we're starting reggie 'hands of stone' evans at power forward! :banghead:
