Thad Biggest steal of 07 draft...
Hes much farther along then i thought hes a great offensive rebounder and he also has great post move and good defense. To me besides Horford, Yi and Durant he should have been picked 4th but thats just me...oh and not to mention hes Younger than those 3 players mentioned and other than Durant i see him as having the most upside, but enough about my opinon let me hear yours.
They call me Hussien Fatal its a two game table im robbin you **** cradle wit a knife in your navel....

Young will likely end up being that guy...
I dont get how a lottery pick can be a steal unless he is just vastly better than the rest of the lottery picks... Thad is NOT.
This whole premise is based on someone ONLY seeing Thad, and Thad playing on a bad team --- opportunity. I'd still take about 3/4 of the people ahead of Thad, ahead of him (only Yi/Brewer/Law I'd pass on)...
If you are looking for a player who could make a big difference in the future: Rudy Fernandez and Tiago Splitter definitely fit that bill.

I saw enough of Thad at Georgia Tech to know how incredibly inconsistent he is. Been playing well for the past few weeks, but he's still far from sustaining it over the season.
No one doubts he has the physical tools. But he still has some ways to go, especially his perimeter game. Way to early to christen him the steal of the draft.

LOL...It seems that everyone has forgotten ablout him since he has not played at all this season. If he can regain his full health what a great team Portland will have.gswhoops wrote:-= original quote snipped =-

By Yi I'm assuming you're referring to Bradan Wright aka Marcus Haislip 2.0.

Sean Williams a steal? I don't know about that one. He is one of the most ready of the younger players but I think he is performing at around the level you can expect, he is a defensive role player and should be a solid player in that aspect for some time.
I'll go out on a limb and say Fesenko of the Jazz will be a steal.

As a Philly fan who wanted the team to take Thad at #12, I'll admit I'm biased. He's coming along real fast & plays good fundamental defense & appears to have a low post game. If he grows another inch or two & that could happen, he'll be legitimate PF size. I'm not ready to call him the steal of the draft but he could be close. No one seems to have mentioned Stuckey who was hurt earlier in the year. He's another candidate for steal of the draft IMO.
