Patrick Ewing Jr.

I know he does not put up numbers, but he is an athletic 6'8 230 player who brings a ton of energy and appears to have a very good BBIQ. Do you think he has any chance of being a late 2nd rd pick up? Or attaching with a team during camp?

I can see him being a camp player, not a 2nd round pick.

His enegry and heart kinda remind me of Ryan Bowan, only much more athletic.

I don't see him as a draft pick either, but he should get a shot in camp. Being a Ewing doesn't hurt either.

Pluses being his defensive activity, athleticism (great, great athlete), and overall intensity. He's a surprisingly good passer too. Great teammate.

Cons are his handle and ability to make difficult shots. He's prone to poor decision making.

He could potentially help someone as an energy guy - a la Renaldo Balkman.

he is not nearly as quick or tenacious as balkman. i'm a big georgetown fan and while i root for him i know he is far from a great athlete. i'd be surprise if he even gets picked up for a nba summer league team. nba gms are smart enough to look past his last name and realize the player for who he is.

i actually think he's been a pretty big disappointment this year and that has tremediously hurt his chances. jeff green bolted for the pros last year and left a starting spot for ewing. he hasn't played well enough to earn a starting roll as a senior! unfortunately, he'll never be anything in the nba.

He will probably get a pretty decent look. The person I know who has assiociations with the league says its very fraternal and that they tend to care of each other i.e Coby Karl.

I think he is a tweener and a bench scrap player, but I am not as negative as most here. I think he could stick. Justin Reed is not a better player then Ewing. I think Ewing's game fits a pro set better than the GT system. It will be interesting to see what happens.

he will be a knick, which is how we will get his dad to be an asst. coach here instead of Orlando next year. He will be teaching Brook Lopez/Thabeet and David lee how to play the big man's game.

He could be the Bruce Bowen of the league. I like his defense but his scoring is just off.

Someone like the Spurs will look into him.

He's a poor man's Trevor Ariza - an excellent athlete with great leaping ability. Actually, he's got more bulk than Ariza. Funny thing is - he'll occasionally hit the long jump shot - making you think he's got skills. Gotta wonder what his numbers might be if he played for a less talented team that ran more.

He definetly has the athleticism to play in the nba but I really dont think he has the mental makeup. He might have good on the court smarts but ive watched this kid live a bunch of times while hes been at georgetown and he is a douchebag who thinks that his name makes him better then his skills.

I see second round pick based on how he works about before the draft

he has great athleticism. He made a huge game saving block a while back (but it was probably goal tending) so he's quick off his feet and can be a shot blocker.

He's definately not worth a draft pick but someone you would test out on your summer league team.

I'm watching the game now and his father tried to keep him away from basketball and be more about an education so I think he's a late bloomer.

That being said he isn't going to be a starter but maybe a Liton Johnson role player. He is active and has hops but still a long ways away.
