Why is Lopez to Seattle not possible? Are they happy with the 3 headed disaster that is Swift, Petro, and Sene? Center is a huge need and Lopez rates out right now as the #3 player in this draft. Arthur is a perfect fit in Chicago, why would they not want him? He is the scoring big man they need so desperately with Noah, Wallace, and Thomas all being terrible offensively. Mayo to Indy is not an optimal fit, but lets be honest here. SG is one of their needs and they are not going to pass on him that late.

Agreed. Atlanta got pilloried for picking swingmen year after year, but rightfully so because they passed up better players that would have fit a need. Seattle may have picked centers the last 10 drafts, but they still have a need there and Brook will likely be the BPA as well. Just because you drafted poorly in the past, doesn't mean you should continue to do so!
Of course, the Kings would gladly trade the #12 and take Lopez off their hands!

1. If Miami does, in fact, land the first overall pick in the 2008 draft and Beasley declares, that is a mortal lock in my opinion.
2. I'm not sold necessarily on Brook Lopez in the top 3, but I probably would elevate him into the top 5 and I like how that plays out here.
3. If New York takes Bayless over Mayo then Isiah should be fired, if he even lasts this long. Bayless shouldn't be taken in the lottery, let alone top 5. Mayo is more skilled, more athletic, taller, smarter, and just a better overall basketball player.
4. Portland does not pick for need in that situation; they take BPA and that could be any one of Hibbert, Love, Batum, Collison, or Ty Lawson (where'd HE go?). Budinger, BTW, should've come out last year because his play his maddeningly inconsistent.
5. I think Toronto pulls the trigger on a C and takes Ogilvy over Weaver in that spot. I would if I was in that position, anyway.
6. I don't think anyone on Tennessee is an incredible prospect, so I'm glad to see a softened stance on Tyler Smith. I don't know if he comes out this year because he probably stands to gain far more than he'd lose.
7. I'll admit, I LOLed at Brandon Rush in the first round. Over Davon Jefferson, no less. I wasn't very impressed with Jefferson and I'd still take him over Rush. And Ryan Anderson above both.
8. Richard Roby averages 16, 6 and 3 turnovers on a terrible basketball team. Decent, but it doesn't help explain to me why he's even a draftable prospect. Name recognition?
9. Bryce Taylor is in a slump but I'll bet his stock rises before the day of the draft. He may even crack the first-round bubble.
10. Taj Gibson and Malik Hairston should switch places. Gibson is a supreme athlete in a high-major conference who's got a very defined role in the NBA, but he'd shine on a run-and-gun team.
11. Kudos for including Ingles, Dove, Singletary, Daniels and Longar (Longar) in the 2nd round. David Padgett deserves your time, and Maarty Leunen is making a serious case for himself lately.

OJ Mayo rubs people the wrong way I think. That story of him "allowing" Tim Floyd to recruit him is ridiculous. Who does this guy think he is? Not only that, but he has character issues and his only discernable skill is scoring. His team is underachieving and he has yet to have a game where he has taken over and wowed anyone.

As for the mock draft:
1. I dont think Lopez goes 3rd overall. It just seems like a reach to me, but Seattle (despite having draft a billion crappy big guys in the last 5 years) still needs a big man, so I dont think its out of line to think they could draft him.
2. Thabeet is not a lottery pick.
3. I hope to God my Pacers dont take a curmudgeon like OJ Mayo.
4. Augustin in Phoenix would be a blast to watch.
5. I am an IU fan, and therefore love DJ White, but 20 seems a bit high for him...if only because he has some injury concerns and is undersized to play the 4 in the pros.
6. Courtney Lee is too low. When everything is said and done, I bet hes taken in the high 20s.
7. You have so many foreign players that I have never even heard of on this list. I dont think all these guys will be drafted as high as you have them, if at all.
All in all, not bad. No two people will ever agree on a mock draft such as this, so I cant criticize.

How is Thabeet not a lottery pick? Who doesn't want a solid defensive 7'3 center? Have you seen his progress lately?

With the Cavs having Larry Hughes at the point, it doesn't make any sense to be drafting Collison... And even if we didn't have Hughes at the point, Collison isn't the type of PG we'd need...
If I were the Cavs I'd pick any of the following:
Tyler Smith
Nathan Jawai
DeVon Hardin
Brandon Rush
Serge Ibaka
The one place that I'd like to the Cavs to address would be the big man spot... We really need a young big man in this up coming draft...

Seriously?? Larry Hughes would keep you from drafting the BPA and player at your biggest need. Cleveland needs a true PG desperately and Collison is a perfect fit. Passing on him because of Hughes should get Ferry immediately run out of town.

Not bad for the Pistons. Davon Jefferson and Chris Daniels, imo, is a great draft. But from all indications from Dumars lately, he's going to take a a big in the first round.
But having Jefferson and Daniels with Stuckey/Amir/Maxiell/Afflalo is a damn nice future if you ask me.
C. Billups/R. Stuckey
R. Hamilton/A. Afflalo
T. Prince/W. Herrmann/D. Jefferson
A. McDyess/J. Maxiell/A. Johnson
R. Wallace/C. Daniels/C. Samb
Dumars is goin after one of Hardin/Thompson/Jawai/Dorsey with #29 and then most likely best wing available at #59... maybe a Chris Lofton type.

R. Hamilton/A. Afflalo/C. Lofton

But if Hardin/Thompson and Jawai are off the board... I would LOVE for Joe D to go Jefferson 1st and Daniels 2nd.

I think Patrick Patterson would be a awesome fit on the pistons

I think you are underselling Bayless. Taking Bayless proves Isiah realized the PG's he has now stink. Bayless is more than just a chucker, he is a good fit in NY IMO.
