1. Rose (has the superstar potential none of the other players quite have)
2. Bayless ( more of a combo gaurd, but can handle the ball as well. Can get to the foul and shoot the three)
3. Mayo (Pretty high bball IQ, can handle the ball pretty well, just needs to work on his shot selection at some points)
4. Collison
5. Augustin, Lawson
2. Bayless ( more of a combo gaurd, but can handle the ball as well. Can get to the foul and shoot the three)
3. Mayo (Pretty high bball IQ, can handle the ball pretty well, just needs to work on his shot selection at some points)

1. Rose - Tall PG with great handles and a good feel for the game. Upside through the roof.
2. Bayless - Best scoring PG in this draft. Can be a 24 ppg. scorer eventually in the NBA. Underrated PG abilities as well.
3. Augustine - Solid all around PG who can run a team and score. A bit of a cross between Rose and Bayless.
4. Collison - Steady floor general will be a solid NBA player but likely not great.
5. Lawson - Jet quick and good leader. Lacks a jumper and is only so so in the half court.

1.Rose-size, athleticism, unselfish, slashing ability, good ball-handler improving jumpshot, good vision and passing skills, great in the open court. Jumpshot needs continued improvement, out of control at times. Needs to improve in have court and develop his mid range game and shooting off the dribble. Great prospect
2.Mayo-size, above-average athlete, good ball-handler,go-to scoring ability, NBA 3pt range, excellent court vision and passing ability, must get with a coach and work on his playing style...plays hit or miss taking too many threes, needs to take more mid range shots, and refine post up game. Turning it over too much due to laziness. If he ever starts playing the way he did back in his sophmore year(when people said he was J-Kidd with better scoring ability) he will be the best. He can do it, it;s up to him. If not, should develop into a Billups-type
3.Bayless-kind of a combo like Mayo, great slasher, gets to the line, great leaper and overall athlete, good shooter, and solid playmaking skills, go to scoring ability. Needs to continue to refine point guard skills, make better decisions
4.Augustin-Good at running an offense, good scoring ability, size will hurt him
5.Collison-Solid. Good PG instincts, good shooter. Very good at running an offense

I think Mayo is a SG in the NBA, he just makes too many poor decisions to be a PG.
1. Derrick Rose-superstar ability, high basketball IQ to go with freak athleticism.
2. Jerryd Blayless-superstar ability, scorers instincts out of the roof, give him a consistant wing and he will get his assists.
3. Darren Collison-just all around solid, a game changer on the defensive end, that gets everyone involved.
4. Ty Lawson-blur up and down the court, an obvious game changer, high basketball IQ.
5. DJ Augustin-all around solid PG with a great half court game and a solid jumper.

Rose-Best speed and ability to see the entire court
Bayless-Better scorer than Rose, but more a combo guard than anything
Collinson-Of all the guys best on ball defender, and all those final four appearances matter
Augustin-Really a great all around PG, but he does nothing amazing and his size is going to truly limit his ceiling
Lawson-Would be much better suited running a high pace offense, but could be adequate on a slower team, but his jump shot needs some more work
I did not miss out on Mayo, I just believe that teams in the NBA are going to prefer he play the two-guard spot rather than Point guard spot, seeing as though he does not play the PG in college.

Rose-Does everything well, and when he hits the league he has superstar potential, plus he will be one of the fastest AND most athletic players in the league which is insane.
Jerryd Bayless- this kid also has star potential. he reminds me of monta ellis a lot, but he has good court vision and is a flat out playmaker. he's an insane scorer with lots of upside and gets to the FT line like its his job when his silky smooth J isn't falling.
DJ Augustin- reminds me of a young steve nash. he's undersized but i think he will become a lot like former Texas alum TJ Ford in the NBA. He does everything well and is a leader.
Darren Collison- Great defensive player and leader on the floor, his jumpshot has a funky form to it though.
Ty Lawson- He's been injured for a while, but he's fast as blazes when he's healthy. His jumpshot can be inconsistent at times, but he sets his teammates up to score.

Whoa, Collison is really overrated. There's no way he's as good as Augustin or better than Lawson. Lawson's quickness and athleticism gives him a ton of potential, he's a better ball handler and passer. Augustin's just better at everything offensively, he's a great ball handler, shooter, slasher, and passer. The only thing Collison has on those guys is defense and he's kinda small to be a great defender in the NBA IMO. I haven't been impressed with Collison at all. I actually think he kinda sucks and I was way more impressed with his teammate Russel Westbrook. Bigger, more athletic, gets just as many APG(maybe a little more, I'm not sure at the moment) despite handling the ball less, more potential to be a great defender IMO.
I don't see what anyone sees in Collison. Sure he has experience and stuff, he can play D, but offensively he's not great at anything. None of his skills stand out. Reminds me of Earl Watson or someone. I don't see how he's ahead of Augustin OR Lawson.

1. Rose
2. Bayless
3. Collison
4. Augustin
5. Westbrook
6. Eric Maynor
7. Mario Chalmers
8. Mayo
9. Lawson
I had to put 9, because I think they're all deserving of consideration for top 5. I didn't include Jamont Gordon, because he's not skilled enough at PG to make up for his lack of PG quickness, imo.

Has anyone seen Arizona play since Wise got hurt? Bayless is a tremendous scorer, but he's no PG.
1) Rose- Tremendous athlete, excellent speed, decent scorer who will get better with time, has the ability to be as good a PG in the NBA as anyone.
2) Augustin- Small, but very crafty. Good shot, excellent handle, very good at getting his teammates shots in good position. Without a doubt the best college PG in the country right now.
3) Collison- Excellent defender, good size, good shooter, good quickness. Won't be a star pg, but will be a very good starting pg at both ends of the floor. He's very long, not a great athlete, but does everything well.
4) Bayless- As a pg, he's no higher then 4 on the list. Excellent scorer in a pg body. He has the handle, but doesn't seem to have the basketball IQ and the willingness to depend on his teammates that all great pg's have. He's a small SG who will have to play with another big guard at the next level, maybe the next Arenas, but that's not the type of guy I want running my team.
5) Mayo- Like Bayless, he's too selfish offensively to be a true PG. He has the handle, he's very good defensively when he wants to be and he can score, but he's a volume shooter and it's always been all about OJ.
6) Lawson- Excellent speed, handle, but not a whole lot more. Average shooter at best, above average passer, undersized, OK defender when he wants to be. He's a great college PG, but I'm not sure how well he'll translate to the next level, especially in the half court.
