Looking at the mock on DX for this year and next it looks at this stage that 2009 is going to be a much better draft than this year.

Things can obviously change once the HS get to college and depending on who declares for which draft of the present college guys.

Which would you rather have a top 10 pick in?

Well, if Griffin/Jordan do not go out this year, and if Rubio is coming out next year then you could have a nice group. But this year is not only top-heavy, but also has legit depth in it. Something I do not see yet from next year.

Its so hard to predict drafts in the future. The top picks are always college freshmen, and obviously we havent seen who the premier freshman are for next year. We'll see when that class gets on campus how good they are.

I think so. I don't think this draft is that great at all.

This draft has good value everywhere. It would take a lot of growth from guys to get the 09 to past 08.

I don't know about 2009 but a big thumbs down to this years draft.

Don't know about next year, but this year - while having decent depth - is not top-heavy.

I agree this year's draft will have some depth. There should be some guys taken at the end of the first round that will be as good as some of the lottery players. There aren't alot of 'Franchise' type prospects...more role players this draft.

This year's draft is neither top heavy nor deep. It's one of the weakest draft classes in recent history. Outside of Beasley, maybe Rose, almost everyone has been either over hyped (Jordan, Mayo) or has serious, fundamental holes in their games (Gordon and Bayless - size as SG's, Lopez and Hibbert - athleticism, etc...).

This years draft is really horrible, I can't think of four players with superstar potential, I don't even think Beasley or Rose will be superstars.

Too bad OJ was so hyped, but a big letdown, then we would have a big 3 for the 2008 class.

2009 has so much potential though.

At least five guys with hype coming into 2009, let's see if they aren't big let downs like this year.

Then again, there are players like Tyler Smith, DJ White, and Kevin Love (if he comes out) that could be absolute gems outside of the lotto.

It's certainly top heavy.

Derrick Rose and Michael Beasley have chances to be stars at the next level.

Blake Griffin has a future in this league and I think you are severely underrating DeAndre Jordan. He's no more raw than Bynum.
