i see him as a carmelo type in the NBA i def think he should be a sf

if miami gets him, it won't matter, as he and shawn marion will be interchangeable at both forward spots

He'll probably be a combo forward like many players in the modern NBA.

I was wondering about this.

On offense he has the ability to play the 3. However, I'm not sure how he will do against bigs with a back to the basket game.

Combo just like Melo.

While he is quick, his foot movement makes him look like more of a PF to me.

I think that with his length, huge hands and body that looks like after a year or two in the NBA and hitting the weight room like the pro's do it will be Boozer like, he'll do just fine.

I also think that his quicks, range and power will give opposing, more traditional PF's fits trying to keep up and in front of him.

PF. The guy is at least 6-9 and probably something like 230-250. Plus, he matches up better there than SF.

PF on a traditional team who would probably be best in a system that uses the F's somewhat interchangably.

How tall is Beasley? Ive heard that he is really only 6'7 or 6'8, does anybody know for sure?

i think hes around 6'7 or 6'8. i heard some people saying hes 6'10 there is no way hes 6'10. im willing to bet he gets listed at 6'7 without shoes at the predraft camp.

I see him as an SF. He's just a better fit at SF in terms of height at this point at SF but he's definitely versatile.

Most of his offense comes from the baseline or high post, which says more of a 3 then a 4. Sure he needs to polish his ballhandling, but I for sure see him as a 3.

The height is interesting. I wonder that everytime I watch him play.

He's a 4.

His strongest asset is his post game.


He has great athleticism but not great lateral quickness a la Josh Smith.

A PF.
He would do best on a team that starts another F tweener, however. If Milwaukee were to land him they could start him and Villanueva, getting SF AND PF production between the two of them.

He is either an undersized PF or a defensivley inept SF.

He is a kid, defense can be learned. Remember Peja plays the 3 at the NBA level. Glenn RObinson played there for years.

You can't learn lateral quickness.

The point is his post skills are his biggest strength. Putting him at the 3 takes him away from the paint and puts him on the perimeter.

He has decent perimeter skills for a 4, not for a 3.


It's the same argument I made a while back while the Hawks were playing Josh Smith at the 3.


Although Beasley is a better perimeter shooter than Josh Smith, still he's at his best on the block on both sides of the ball
