Unless Portland is trading out of the draft, I don't like the pick of Chase Budinger for them. SG is the one position Portland needs no help at. They already have an All Star there and they have a European MVP coming over to back him up (or play alongside him if Roy moves to full time PG).

If they're going to keep the pick, and the first 12 play out as this mock draft has, Love would be the best choice for Portland. He's not only a hometown favorite, he'd bring some much needed muscle to Portland's PF spot. He'd be a perfect change of pace PF behind Aldridge.

But overall, if this is how things shake out on draft night, I'd rather Portland trade up or trade out than keep the pick.

How much more does Lopez need to do to move into that #2 spot? He fills a serious need for the wolves there. Also Foye is looking very good from the pg spot. Al has let it be known to teammates that he wants a big body next to him.

MN has the miami 2nd rd pick as well as their own.

somehow develop more explosive athleticism between now and June and also show a far more NBA translatable ability in the post.....less robot more instincts, get rid of that unusual defensive style.....those being the ones just off the top of my head

where is Lester Hudson in your draft. he can flat out ball. he will be a late first round or early 2nd round pick. he is fourth in the nation in scoring and the first person to get a quadruple double in a D1 game. Get him in your mock soon like the other mocks (like nbadraft.net and draftexpress)

I guess eventually you will get the message that Memphis isn't taking Brook Lopez.

I see no reason Budinger can't play SF for Portland.

It was not so long ago Jones was thought to be a lottery pick. He never lived up to that hype, but he still has a nice game with a solid skillset. His skillset and athleticism are enough to get him drafted.

Minny may very well move down, but if they stay at #2 they almost have to pick Rose. There is not really anything I can see Lopez doing about that.

They may not, but I chose long ago not to take front office ineptitude into account while filling out my mock. Sure Memphis, like the Knicks every year, may well find a way to screw this pick up and not take Lopez. But, until they do, I am keeping the #3 player and biggest Memphis team need, going to Memphis.

I know full well what he used to be considered and I myself had him in mind as a potential sleeper pick in the 2nd rd for 2008 but he let himself slip physically this summer and has seemed to digress.....simply, don't see him getting drafted

I will get around to writing about the foreign guys maybe tonight. Been busy. The just of it is all are pretty raw except Pekovic, who is locked up for 3 more years in Europe. No instant contributors other than him. More to come...

Hey Cammo, how about Sam Young, the SF for Pitt? He's shown his potential by improving his game from his sophomore to junior year... and he's been getting some more national attention through the Big East tourney...

I can't see him not being drafted, with that offensive game...
