Teams moving their pick for tax relief...

Teams are usually reluctant to move first rounders but they're equally reluctant to pay the luxury tax. I'm just curious about which teams who are above/close to the tax threshold might get rid of their pick & a player (like Phoenix last year) to avoid the tax.

I don't see any, I doubt Phoenix moves out of the top 11 seeing how old they are and a couple of those teams (LA Lakers and Dallas) that could be options but traded picks already.

Possibly Washington, but only if Etan Thomas were packaged with the pick for a second rounder in a few years.

He's owed $14 million over the next two years. That seems like too much money for a 15-18 draft pick.
