College production does not equal becoming a good pro.

I agree but he actually reminds me of Dell Curry his father with better handles. I don't think he's a point guard but a short shooting guard in the mold of Abdul-Rauf aka Chris Jackson from back in the day.

Difference between instance offense in college and pro potential.

Otherwise Lofton from Tennessee would have been a lottery pick last year.

I think people forget that Chris Jackson was even more beastly than Curry in college..

Anyways I can see some team late in the 1st round picking him. I thought it was a big ass reach that Dixon got drafted in the 1st round, we have seen Balkman get drafted in the 1st round so it isn't imaginable that Curry gets picked in the 1st round.

I could see his career going in the same direction as Kevin Martin's. They are both great scorers coming from the Southern Conference. Like Martin, Curry is projected to be drafted in the late first round. Curry and Martin are both great shooters who are great at moving without the ball. If you compare Curry's numbers with Kevin Martin's numbers at Western Carolina, you'll see that they are almost identical. The only thing that I'm worried about is that he's not as fast or athletic as Martin. He might have trouble scoring against the NBA's premiere defenders. I'd still select him in the first round though.

He's a 6'1 6'2 SG, he will get drafted but he is not a MUST in the first round. Lets see if he can improve his game over the next year or two before we call him a must for the first round. He's gotta make up for alot because he is undersized.

He's not going to declare this year. He's been amazing in march but the reality is he's an undersized 2 guard that really lacks the athletic ability to accel in the NBA. Curry needs to stay in school and become a good all around player before he takes a shot at the NBA.

Personally if you want a valid comparison take a look at Quincy Douby. They are very similar players and would likely fill the same role on any team Instant offense off the bench.

Curry must become more of a PG and add some muscle to become a first round pick. This may happen eventually, but not this draft.

He is absolutely on fire right now though . . realisitically, do you think his stock will ever be higher? Probably not . . if he has a good chance to go in the first round he should definitely come out this year . .

Kid can score in any league in the world. He'll be a good NBA player.

Horrible comparison in my opinion. Respert never moved as well without the ball and didn't have nearly the handle or defensive skills Curry brings to the table.
I'm the only one that seems to think Curry has enough handles to play point in the league. Especially on a team where the offense is not entirely run through the point guard. The Cavs, Celtics, Sixers, Magic, Heat, Pacers, Lakers, Suns, and Hornets would all be great fits for Curry.

Your'e right Chris Jackson lit teams up in college with some 50 point nights. It didn't hurt that he had Stanley Roberts and Shaq on the team to help free him up. Curry doesn't have the same support. I think he will be more along the lines of a Ben Gordon at the pro level. His assist to turnover ratio isn't the greatest and his size make him a small combo guard in the NBA. But, he can score from anywhere.

His A:T ratio is extremely misleading, as he's asked to score in bulk and not create for others much. He shows plenty of nice flashes of point guard skills. The more important thing is his turnovers per possession. Match him up with all the PG's and SG's in our entire database and he's near the top against both pools in turnovers per possession.

He's an incredibly low mistake player given the amount of offensive burden he has to take on.

If a one-dimensional shooters like Kapono earn the MLE, Stephen Curry will easily be in the NBA. Not sure if he is first round material, but if you can shoot the rock like that, you got a spot on a teams roster.

I really see similarities between Curry and Eddie House.

I think Boobie Gibson is the best comparison I've heard.
