that would be a great draft for the clippers, but i would much rather have mayo so hopefully the knicks take gordon if this is the order. coming out of the draft with mayo/gordon and dorsey would be pretty damn good for the clips.

i can't see collison falling that far. if hes available when the blazers draft, they'll probably take him. westbrook is more of a SG and plays like more of a SG and they already have an all star SG in roy, but their PG situation is pretty bad so theyd select collison.

one other problem i see is the bobcats selecting love when jordan is still available. they already have okafor who is more of a PF than a C, even though he can play center. there would be no point in choosing love because then they'd have two young good PFs.

other than that i think its good. finally someone agrees with me on having rose ahead of beasley if miami has the first pick. they have marion and haslem at the 3 and the 4 and thats a good sf/pf combo. they have a huge hole at the pg spot with williams being a free agent and having nobody else behind him so rose would be a good fit for them

i really like this mock. my only concern would be jordan to chicago (lol, just noticed the name thing). with noah and gray (yeah, maybe not so much with gray) at center and another major project player in thomas, im not sure chicago jumps at picking jordan. but aside from that, everything else looks pretty spot on, more or less.

as for a personal team perspective, its very much an "ugh" scenario as far as the spurs go. asik is a fine choice considering the batch or players they would have liked to be available (collison, rush, smith) all ended up off the board just a handful of picks ahead. and unless the spurs look to move the pick, or reach to draft on need, asik can be stashed and waited on.

as for the 2nd round, another big "ugh" situation, as dove is probably the very bottom of the tier of players id have liked to nab, with nearly every single player above being much more desired, and nothing below of that much consideration. id rather have nearly every other player in the top half of that 2nd round.

nothing wrong with the selections, just a rather disappointing (ie, normal) draft for a spurs fan. sigh...

Interesting that you picked McGee over Arthur. I thought you loved Arthur.

No JR Giddens he is a SR.??? Jamont Gordon? DeMarcus Nelson?

Bayless could be BPA at 4 so I agree, wonder if Wolves would go BPA if it's redundant.

Love the Ibaka pick all day. Ryan Anderson plays a lot like Ryan Gomes and we'll probably sign him for a bit less than the MLE.

No Earl Clark?

Randolph way to low.

Brook Lopez....oh well, I guess you need someone in the media to tell you Memphis won't select him at #3.

I like Love, but I get worried about drafting another "throw back", white, un-athletic college star!!

miami has to take beasley...rose is great but redundant with wade..we can sign a pg in the summer w/ the mle like navarro

beasley marion wade is just too good to pass up even if it is derrick rose

Gonna say, I don't agree with Love going eight (he is bound to slip just because of how poor he measures), Bayless over Mayo (especially to a team that has a PG project in Foye), and I think Indiana takes Westbrook before Augustin.

Move Augustin up to #9, the bulls badly need a pg that can create plays and drive to the basket and not another big man. Duhon is the best PG they have right now, that's why they are forced to play him even though he sucks.

And also why would the wolves draft Bayless when they already have Foye, do you think the bulls would have a chance to pick him? And who is the better pg prospect between Bayless and Augustin?

I usually don't use one game as a barometer in terms of a guys ability or lack thereof, but DJ was just flat out controlled by Memphis. I would rather take Westbrook because he is a superior defender, can attack and finish above the rim and I think will be a decent PG in this league.

No chance the Celtics take two PF's when they're already stacked there. KG takes up a lot of minutes, Scalabrine gets a few, and then there's two rookie contract guys in Davis and Powe.

As a Sonics fan I would say this is a perfect mock. Beasley, a friend of Durants, fits nicely at power forward with Jeff Green at small forward and Durant staying at shoting guard. That's a good young trio to build around. Nick Collison can play the reserve role at both power forward and center so Seattle can trade Wilcox for a veteran center such as Nesterovic, Foster, or Haywood.

Weaver gives them the versatile perimeter defense they sorely lack.

I really like the Lester Hudon pick at the top of the second round. I think he's going to surprise alot of people and if they can trade Ridnour Hudson could see pretty good minutes.

Using two of their other second round picks on European players is what they'll need to do since there's no way they can use all six of their picks. More likely is that Seattle ends up trading at least two of their second rounders even if it's for future second rounders.

All in all about as good as Seattle can get as long as they can move Wilcox and Ridnour.

If Collison is available at the Magic's pick I'd hope they'd jump all over him. Rush is intriguing but I think that a SG is better found in free agency since we really need a starter there. Not so much a PG, but a little insurance never hurts.

Best mock I've seen all year. However I think PDX takes Pekovic @ 35 and Ingles @ 55 due to such a full roster.

I will be literally sick if the Pacers select DJ Augustin. They will go big or select Westbrook at their pick. The Pacers desperately need defense
and that is not Augustin. NO NO NO

Augustin over Westbrook?
I like the picks for my two favourite teams. CDR is exactly what the Raps need in a wing player, although I do slightly question his upside. Westbrook would be an amazing pick for Portland - he's a perfect fit with Roy, since Roy is often the play maker in the half court.

Yeah, I don't know why Magic would pass on Hibbert and Collison if they fall that low for Rush. I'm a big KU fan too.

Any team that takes Westbrook over Augustin should have their heads examined. Westbrook is the most overrated player in this draft right now. He plays way out of control all the time. He hurt UCLA more than he helped them in the tourney. If he is not picking up offensive fouls he is being blocked on his wild 1 on 3 fastbreaks. The kid has talent, but he has a long way to go to refine it.
