Who do you want your team to draft?

Post#1 » by NUNBETTA » Tue Apr 8, 2008 2:14 am

Without taking the possibility of a trade into consideration, which player would you like your favourite team to draft?

I doubt he'll be available, but I'd like the Raptors to draft Russell Westbrook, and if not him, the swing player with the best combination of explosiveness and offensive creativity.

Chalmers would be sick on Boston. He and Rondo would really get after apposing PG's on defense.

Isn't the obvious answer for everyone Beasley or Rose?

If you are talking about predicted draft position though, I would say Mayo or Griffin for the Bobcats.

Derrick Rose for the Pacers if we are in fantasy land. Realistically, Westbrook or Augustin.

I think somebody is going to fall in love with Westbrook and end trading up to make sure they get him. My guess would be that the Blazers will be that team since he in my opinion makes so much sense for that team and completing that potencial roster.

PG Westbrook
SG Roy
SF Webster/Outlaw
PF Aldridge
C Oden

I cant see the Blazers giving up much outside 2nd round picks(They have 2 top 5 2nd rounders in the 2008 draft) and 3M cash to get Westbrook.

Kevin Love or Blake Griffin (if he comes out) for the Warriors.

For the Raptors:

Probably out of reach, but could be very nice:
Westbrook, Greene, McGee (though Greene and McGee are serious projects)

More realistically:
CDR, Tyler Smith, Joe Alexander, Rush, Robin Lopez, Thabeet.

I can't see westbrook playing PG (maybe the situations better in Portland where Roy plays SG).

His ballhandling skills are kinda lacking
