I don't have any information that would suggest he is going to come out, but I sincerely hope he does.

From what I have read he may "test the waters" and see where he might get picked, but not yet get an agent so he can pull out if he does not hear what he wants to.

I have seen him on a few mocks as high as 8 or 9, my guess is that if he works out solidly then he is a 10-15 pick.

He shouldn't, but once people start to realize that he actually has visible flaws to his game, and a lot of them, his stock would probably go down. So baseless speculation dictates that he will go pro.

I'm not disagreeing with you at all, but I'm interested in hearing what you think those flaws are, or might be, on the NBA level.

Plays out of control, some would call him selfish, and not refined enough for the NBA.

Hmmm, could Westbrook be the next version of Sidney Moncrief?

Think more in terms of the next Keyon Dooling.

I know for a team like my Bucks he'd see i]a lot[/i] of minutes simply because of his defense.

It's tough. If I'm Westbrook, I probably turn pro. But he really is the perfect example of a guy who could benefit from coming back in terms of experience. The reason he's such a great prospect is because of his point guard potential, but he's yet to really be allowed to be the floor general for his team. Next season, if Collison leaves, he'd get that opportunity. (if Collison stays btw, Westbrook should leave, Collison would prevent him from getting that opportunity)

Westbrook is never going to get a chance to play full time point, UCLA would always be more effective platooning the next years (just like this year) with him, Holiday, Lee, Anderson.

Well, if he can't be virtually guaranteed to be the primary point guard, I don't know why he'd come back.

I don't know about necessarily being more effective in a platoon system. The issue this year was that UCLA had two great guards, nobody else close, and the other great guard (Collison) could only be effective at the 1. Holiday and Lee are both guys who aren't pure points, and both are of comparable size to Westbrook. Seems to me he could play the point like Deron Williams did in Illinois, and of course that worked out well for him.

Not a pure point guard, out of control, unsure if he's a primary ball handler, and he's not going to get away with some of the moves that he currently uses in the NBA.

If I had to bet my farthings--IF the Knicks end up 6 they will take Westbrook--he makes sense for them in many ways--we dont have team speed we dont have a good perimeter defender and while he cant shoot the ball he can get to the rim rather well and he has a lot of intangibles--like the ability to play some PG plays with high intesnity very long arms elite type NBA athletic ability. While he is NOT a great outside shooter--he does a lot of things the Knicks do not have--he can play some PG he can pass rebound defend he has long arms he has the same type of athletci ability as any elite nBA player. The shooting may or may not come but I think the things he does well will translate to the NBA. And you can tell he is a hard worker with a great deal of heart.
