It's shaping up well. I think Love is climbing on a lot of boards, though, and you show no reflection of that.

A lot of folks have him projected out as a solid bigman who could start on most teams as a roleplayer. But considering his numbers and his age, its possible that he has a little room to grow. I think his potential to be more than a roleplayer should boost his stock in light of the fact that his worst-case scenario is a rotation guy. How many guys can you normally say that about who get drafted in the teens?

EDIT: ESPN just put up a stat. Players to come out with 600 points, 400 rebounds, and a final 4 trip. Gooden went #4, Okafor went #2. Both these guys were juniors.

Both those guys have underachieved in the NBA and both are vastly more athletic than Love. I like Love and had him at #8 in the last mock. He has a chance to climb into the top 10 before all is said and done, but his athleticism is a concern. I agree he will be a solid rotation guy, but his upside is a question mark.

I guarantee Richard Roby gets drafted.

I agree he has questions. Especially until we can get legit measurements in the NBA combine. Ideally as a GM I would like to take him in the early to mid-teens. He'd do best paired with a large, athletic, defensive presence. Though he would probably do well in a 3-man rotation with Kwame Brown/Rasheed Wallace and Antawn Jamison/KMart, or comparable player types. I just don't see him falling to that point, though. He had high school hype, and has great numbers for a freshman on a final four team. He's very low risk. No way he falls out of the top 10. I see him around 6-8, depending on how the lottery pans out.

I would have to say that the teams picking 8-10 (Char, Chi, NJ) none of those teams are going to take a role player a PF. Love is at best 6'9 and Charlotte wants to see what May can give, Love would be the third PF on Chicago and they don't need more steady players and NJ has spent two first round picks the past two years on PF, doubt Love makes it three in a row for them.

Deandre Jordan = No go with the Nets . We picked 2 Bigs without much of an offensive Game 2 years in a row , why pick a 3rd ?

i still think miami takes beasley if they get the # 1 pick..rose is nice but we already have wade as our playmaker

Okafor, the 2004-05 RoY, career double double, defensive anchor and progressive offensive game has under achieved? Sure, he might not be used right, but I don't think he has under achieved.

If the draft did play out like this I would hope the Bobcats and Blazers would strike a deal that would send Westbrook to them and Augustin, Frye and someone like Hardin to the Bobcats.

Gallinari's not going to be a Buck with Hammond in charge of the draft. Safe money is on Westbrook.

Pistons will not draft at gaurd at #29. I don't know how many times this needs to be said. Dumars had been seen around NCAA games scouting big guys. Centers 1st, Small Forwards 2nd. No other positions need apply.

Cammo has Bill Walker listed as a SG, but the guy is extremely powerfull, plays a very aggressive, physical game, and isn't particularly perimiter oriented - to me he is absolutely a SF, not a SG, even if he is only 6'6" (which is still OK size for a SF). Plus the Pistons have stocked the cupboard nicely with lots of solid rookies, so they can afford to take a chance on an injury prone player like Bill Walker. If he didn't have the injury risk, the guy is easily a lottery pick imo.

Agreed. He would have no problem playing SF for the Pistons.

Brook Lopez is all Center....not seein him playin the 4 spot

I love it for the Wolves. Besides getting lucky and landing a top 2 pick this is about as good as it could get for them.

I dont think anyone envisioned Okafor avg 20 ppg in the NBA. I think a career 14 ppg/11 rpg/2 bpg is pretty good and what I expected out of him coming out of UConn.

But as for the Bobcats and May, I'm not so sure if they are going to depend on him in any way shape or form. The guy has been injured EVERY single year and has a questionable work ethic. If the opportunity came to draft Love I'm sure they would think long and hard on it. Considering when May is in the game I love what he can do on offense, defense is shakey but usually thats the last thing to come for young players and he's been on the court so little he hasn't gotten the chance to really work on it.

If we can get the similar offensive production from Love, coupled with his rebounding I'd say that's a pretty good draft choice 8th overall. We could slide love in at PF and have Okafor play C.

Haven't seen this JaVale McGee play not once, but from reading his profile on draftexpress, doesn't seem like the type of player we normally draft. He's an upside guy where we normally would go with production guys that can help out right away(Not factoring in Wright whom was drafted with then intention to be traded). Also his 4 to 1 Turnover to assists scares me. Even in the Jordan era I don't feel this would be a pick that would be made.

How do you figure? He played the 4 pretty well in college, and could largely keep up with smaller players. Personally, I don't get why the TWolves wouldn't get him to pair with Jefferson, as they already have Foye and McCants in the backcourt.

As for the Kings pick, if Augustin was available at #12 I'd imagine they'd take him over Arthur.
